Good looking old bikes guys but here's one I'm not too sure about? Looks like Wildside's 41 except in it's "from the factory" look. This was taken in 1951 in Gillette WI. Wildside, did your's originate in WI?

Thanks for the complement mudpuddle.
I would have rather had a better background but I was in a hurry to go for a test ride to see how well the ol' girl did in the snow. Hobiecat sailing is another one of my passions. Working on my buildings is not. I say this because I see in the pic. I need to do being doing some. As far as the smile yeh you could say I'm pretty happy to have this vintage bike. It is fun to drive.

I'm very green on this photo uploading. How did you get the picture posted this way?

The compliment is well deserved tMan.

The background is more than fine.

How did the ol' girl do in the snow??

The Hobiecat is part of the fine background, polar opposite of the snow.
The reflection of the snow/sky/sun in that BabyMoon,
white snow at base, blue sky to cap it all off - great shot.

The building/s (as background), fits in fine. What's wrong with the building?? (see pic below.)

If you want to know how to post the pix this way, PM or better yet email to me,
and I will be more than happy to enlighten you.

Toyman...Your Servi-car looked so nice I just thought that I'de toss mine up there with it to keep it company. We cant have the only servi's on the forum, there must be more of them lurking out there somewhere? I love servi's and I love their place in history and doubt I'll ever be without one. You got a heck of a deal on your, but I supose you know that...Rsh

I purchased my tires locally but they can be had almost anywhere on the web through the various vintage suppliers. In no particular order I have provided you with some links and resources, the last three of which include some of the finer servi-pictures on the web as well as a popular servi-car devote site ... Although I just received this email tonight from Stephen of DL45Homepage so you may want to bookmark and pay his site a visit at a later date if its down, although I just checked it and it was up and running..."Just to let everyone know that my site is down for a couple of days for maintenance. Just let others know that this is temporary. Thanks, Stephen Gilbert  Also, a short but informative and entertaining article on Servi-cars by Herbert Wagner. Hope this is of some help...Rsh.  http://www.nosparts.com/ http://www.olddude.com/parts.htm http://www.45partsdepot.com/index.php http://aaok.com/index.html http://www.antiquecyclesupply.com/ http://custombikes.startpagina.be/ http://thisoldbike.us/Links.htm http://www.vtwinmfg.com/Catalog1/VTwinCatalogIndex1.htm http://www.hd-shop-oldtimer.nl/english/index.html http://www.jpcycles.com/ http://www.roadsters.com/harley/#Vintage http://panhead.proboards1.com/index.cgi?board=WL_   http://www.dl45homepage.com/ http://www.aa-ok.com/HDGalleryServi.htm http://www.sandiegohistory.org/collections/motorcycles/motorcyclese.htm
From No Respect To Prize Collectable
The Servi-Car

By Herbert Wagner
“I don’t get no respect!”
If the Servi-Car had a motto, that would be it. Harley-Davidson’s faithful old three-wheeler has long suffered from what might be called a Rodney Dangerfield or Barney Fife complex. We see it here on Chuck Westlake’s 1948 “GA” model (48G2462) with its fictional Mayberry Police Parking Enforcement graphics. While Barney was the bumbling deputy sheriff on the old Andy Griffith Show, who can’t picture him borrowing a cop Servi-Car and tooling around on some zany adventure?

Servi-Cars were never fast or flashy. That was part of their problem. And because a trike was something you rode as a kid and grew out of, there was very little machismo in this overgrown tricycle. For those reasons Servi-Cars never fit the biker image and never got much respect from the rest of the Harley-Davidson clan. Only in the antique motorcycle hobby has the Servi-Car risen from its former I don’t-get-no-respect status to today’s prized collectable.

From a hobby viewpoint the humble Servi-Car has several positive attributes. These include a unique perso
