Yes they make them but be sure you ride a 250 tire first. I have built several and the customers where unhappy with the ride after ward, they are very heavy on left side in low speed add a open primary and it gets worse. RSD is the way to go if you are dead set on a wide tire bike. I run a 200 on my deuce and that is wide as I like them . I rode the 330 tire and I almost wrecked it as it WILL not doea not lean over you really drive it like a car. LOL looks mean as hell but I would not take on on a bet. Way to hard to ride.

Is the purpose of that big of as tire just for looks or is there another reason for it? Doesn't seem like it's for a better ride at all.

There is one good quality kit that you can use with really good results. The HeartlandUSA 2-5-0 wide tire kit. www.heartlandbiker.com If your interested in this kit, I can point you to a gentleman in NJ who has the best prices on these kits.

The kit comes with a new swingarm, curved billet struts(Chrome or black),axle, primary offset spacer and all needed hardware. Its the best kit on the market I have delt with. True bolt on and no odd installation issues. Turn-in both left to right is near factory. Be aware due to the larger rear tire, turn in will take a bit more effort than if your using a stock 150 tire naturally. The bike is surprisingly well balanced with this kit, an RSD tranny is not needed at all. And don't waste your time on those open style belt primaries. They may look cool, but they don't add anything at all in terms of performance, and many hurt your turn in lean angle to the left side and depending on weight may adversely affect your handling. The shifting action also deteriorates when the dry clutch pack heats up. They may be good for short drag races, but they are poor setups for street bikes.

Looks only, if you want great performance (for corners and straightaways) look at a 180-200mm tire. Past that mark overall performance starts to suffer with the bikes handling. I personally have always though overly wide tire bikes look really dumb. The only place where a wide tire has merit is on the 1320( 1/4 mile) drag strip. Eventually the silly fad will die out.

i have a 240 on my Softail and it feels fine to me, depends on the rider I guess, but things can be done so everything is kept straight and you don't need to offset or go RSD.

Check out:
www.customvalley.com

This is the gut who makes the kits and a lot of companies rebadges them as their own. I got my kit from him.
