Default V Twin Redline Tranny Oil

Has anyone used this stuff, this is right off the Redline Web Site:

V-Twin Transmission Oil with ShockProof®

Similar to Red Line's Heavy ShockProof®, V-Twin Transmission Oil with ShockProof® provides unequalled protection for both stock and aftermarket American V-Twin transmissions.

This product dampens transmission noise (reducing the notorious shifting “clunk” found in these gearboxes), dramatically reduces temperature, provides thicker oil films between gear teeth and completely resists throw-off. It is compatible with petroleums and synthetics.

The viscosity characteristics allow the lubricant to resist throwoff and provide a film thickness similar to a 75W250 grade, while providing the same low fluid friction as an SAE 75W90

Nope, it is completely new OR , like their 20/60, repackaged. The 20/60 MC oil was always listed as for V Twin engines either with loose tolerances or operated in high temperatures. They now sell it packaged as MC specific. Maybe they have just repackaged the HDSP with a "secret sauce" additive pkg., LOL.

It must be brand new. I just checked the website the myoilshop.com website the other day and did not see it. I'm not saying I might not have missed it but, I didn't see it. If it's as good as the Heavy shockproof gear oil that I have been using in my tranny, then it is great.

http://www.redlineoil.com/buyonline.asp?id=4This is the link..I guess your right. Maybe they just jumped on the renaming game..now everything is motorcycles..plus it looks like they might have jumped the price. I not sure on the price because I'm not sure what the going rate of Redline Heavy is

It's the Shockproof Heavy repackaged &amp\\; repriced. SO it the 20w50 and the primary oil is the MTL. All are cheaper if you don't buy the MC labeled ones.

Been using Redline Heavy Duty shockproof for years and years.&nbsp\\; Can't tell you how many drinks I've won on bets by telling guys I run Peptol Bismol in my tranny.&nbsp\\; They want to see it, and I pull the dipstick.&nbsp\\; I collect on the drink, then give them the straight scoop.&nbsp\\;

Baker recommends this oil for their transmissions.
