Default Easy Pull Clutch Kit - Installation??

Bought one of these Easy Pull Clutch Kits for my wife's heritage soft tail classic (05). NOTHING in the way of instructions came with it. Does anyone know how to install this thing? Perhaps a place I can find on the net that has installation instructions or pics etc??

Hope it works.

If it is the HD brand the the shop manual will tell you how to dissamble it and money well worth it. Basically you need to remove the clutch release cover ( The one that the clutch cable goes to). Inside there is a large "c" clip that will take a good set of ring pliers to remove. The 2 metal ramps that you recieved go behind that. There are 2 ball bearings there to so do not loose them. It is easy to see how it goes togeather. Try to put the "c" clip back close to the same way it came out. The clutch spring goes inside the primary. The easest thing is to drain the primary and remove the outer cover. Do not tear the coating off the metel gasket and you can reuse it. I am on my 3ed time. On the clutch packing you will see like 4 or 5 bolts that hold the spring on the packing. The spring is not under tension at this point so just remove the bolts and replace the spring.

wow, sounds like I need professional help. The device seemed SO simple in the picture. I put one on a VTX and it was a 15 minute "external" install. The guy even had a DVD with great instructions. I find most after market parts have awful instructions. "no service after the sale". Not sure I want to undertake major surgery where the bike bleeds. Maybe if I had step by step instructions with pictures I could tackle it.

The other thing I have tried is the EZ pull power clutch, but it broke after one pull and had to send it back. It was $100. This "easy pull clutch kit" was $9. Probably spend another $99 in labor.

But I do need to soften this pull for the wife. I understand Harley has FINALLY recognized this as a problem and is making clutches easier on 07 and 08 models.

Thanks for the help.

the one I bought was not a Harley Part. One of the "other" ones. They all look alike, a simple "hook" type device that adds to the "lever arm" pull of the clutch lever.

I've bought many Harley parts when I know it is special / unique, but this one seemed so generic.

HD part #25605-00a and #25604-00a are the 2 piece ramps that do the most to reduce clutch pull. The clutch spring is just a weaker version and will not hold as much as the stocker so you will be able to get by with out going into primary. I have the reduce ramps on my bike with a stronger clutch spring to help hold on to my torque. The combo of the 2 give me a almost stock pull with more lock up. The HD kit comes with the 2 ramp assembly and the clutch spring. You can order just the ramps I listed w/o spring and still get a good amount of let off. Not hard to do at all. Dropping the pipes is hardest thing

Actually Easy Pull clutches came as standard equipment on all Harley's starting in the '06 model year.
