Just got home from my favorite indy shop. Had the 96 WG serviced and checked over good. It wasn't running the best all of a sudden.

It turned out to be an intake gasket leak - no biggie but I had a tuneup done too.

At almost 21,000 miles it's as fit as can be. Runs like new again. It's stage 1, original CV carb jetted and tuned.

It has a quick-release windshield and saddlebags.

We'll probably keep it forever. My wife just got her endorsement and took a second intermediate rider safety course on my Deuce. She's riding this WG now "because it's red," lol.

I am the second owner of my 1985 FXEF, sold new at a UK dealership in February that year.

Bought it with 15,000 on the clock in early 1992.

Now has 87,000 miles up.

+1.......1985 FXEF here, also......turned 96,000 miles last week on Friday. I bought it with less than 17k in Oct 1993. It still has the original paint. Only main work done to it is two top ends for leaking base gaskets on the front cylinder, but I did some perfomance mods to it while it was apart.....

1992 sport here,  20,500 miles on her.  had to replace the rocker cover gaskets at 19,000 due to a minor leak ( still had the original paper gaskets)
No other problems at all and only normal maintenance performed per Mfg recomendations. I run amsoil 20W-50 and doesnt burn nor leak a bit.  I find her to be a most reliable ride.

You swapped an EVO into it? Is it a kicker?

And here's a version you could put in your sig if you want to.

Here's link on how to do it if you haven't done it before.

Sorry, I don't have any pictures yet. Just bought my 1998 Lowrider 2 months ago with 23,264 miles on it and now it has 25,759 on it. I just finished changing oil & filter, tranny fluid,  primary oil, and adjusted the primary chain. So far it seems to run real good and I hope that with continued love and care, that I will get the same long lasting high mileage ride that everyone here has spoke of.

I just bought my 1996 FLHTCUI last month with 28,000  (I've managed to put 500 miles since)
My mechanic told me that the bike was just now broke in and should be good for 150,000 trouble free miles.

I have to admit, the more I ride it, the more I like the bike

My 91 FXSTS had 42,000 on the odometer when I bought it. I met the original owner and he told me it had about 10,000 more then the odometer said. He replaced the speedo. I had to replace 6 speedos before I changed the tank and hung a small speedo from the bars. Well the bike had over 250,000 miles on it when I changed the motor. Before that nothing bigger then the stator went out, a couple of votage regulators and the drive pully came loose. Sheared the set screw off. I had 60,000 on the new motor when the main crank bearing let loose. I have about 5,000 on the rebuild. ( I have a secound bike now so it doesn't get ridden as much as it use to)

"new bike" 1997 ultra 10,000 mi.
"old bike"   1991 flhtc coverted to flhs 64,000 mi. sold
"newest" wifes bike 1999  fxr2 screaming eagle 44,000 mi.
bike on the block 2001 sportster 883

Long live the evo! no twin cams for me either.

I like mine alot as well, the bagger has an ev27 in it (now) and supertrapps with all the discs in a drawer. sounds better

fxr2 has a 2-1 pipe pretty rowdy, hehe, the big twin is a whole new ball game for the wifey 5'2" 115#  she likes ridin it but it is a little cold yet for her  to really enjoy it. so I'm ridin it around town. sweet bike

when it came time to buy new bikes I looked hard at the newer stuff but realized I don't like them as much as the reliable evo.

Got a 1995 FLHTCUI that I bought in May of 2006 with just shy of 47,000 miles on it.  At the start of last year, I had to have a manifold gasket on it in Ocala while coming back from Daytona at 56,000 miles. And now it's in the shop getting the base gasket leak taken care of.  Having the bottom end run though also while it's down. It's going to be getting the Stage 1 on it also.

Think it's setting at just under 67,000 miles on it right now.

1991 FLHS 80k did .020 10.5 SE pistons at 65k (was blowing by so bad that the breather was leaving trials) and did cam this winter to better match Interstate commute for better power band.  HSR 42 with Yost kit added, ported heads, Hard Krome 2 into 1 and Crane single fire ig system.   So far 37 mpg at 75 and lots of twist left to turn if needed.  Had to fix a trans seal between input and output shafts.

This is my 94 Heritage Classic. I got her from a dealer as a waste case with 58,000 on the clock. After a rebuild and exchange of a few worn out parts, she is back with a long life ahead of her. I put her back "in service" in late February and now (April 18th) she has already 1,600 miles on her rebuild. This bike is my day to day ride and with the exception of long trips, has replaced my 07 RK. I do not know what it is but the EVO just feels right compared to the new TC's. The hunt is now on for another "EVO project"; hey the two HD's and the Beemer are looking for a new stable mate.

1997 FXDS Dyna Convertible, 54,000 miles. Bought new in 1997 from my local HD stealer. I have been really happy with the bike. I do have a barrel gasket leak on the rear jug but since oil is alot cheaper than the fix of a fresh engine, I will ride it until it won't go anymore and from the reads in this forum that might be along time. I have SE exhaust mufflers, control module and a breather kit.
