Hi!

I've found several WL/WLA/WLC fully restaured with NOS parts selling for around 11000€, not in Portugal. They're in France, Germany, UK and central Europe.
It's a little less then US$ 9000.
Do they worth it? How reliable would they be?

Thank you all!

I think the key on value is how really is it close to stock/nos condition. There are a lot of bikes (all makes and models) that look nice but are pieced together from different years. Not sure how much you know about them but I would do a lot of reading before I committed that kind of mean green and then take a friend who has knowledge about them so that you do not end up with buyer's remorse..a nice bike but, after close inspection, definitley not what you paid for.

Most of these bikes are pieced together from different bikes anyway. The most important is that the VIN number on the engine is original, not restamped, rewelded etc. Also this number must corespond with the numbers at the bottom of the engine, which show when the engine was  machined at the factory. When this is OK, you can build a bike around it. These days there is the whole industry manufacturing parts for flatheads, specially WLA,and some replicas are difficult to distinguish from original. But the quality  of these products, sometimes, is poor,I 've seen  transmission countershafts breaking while I was  "kicking" the bike.
You should buy a book "how to restore your military HD" by Bruce Palmer,or "How to restore your HD" by the same author. All the necessary info is there. If you restore yor bike accordingly, you can most likely get a good price for it.I think the price you quated in euros is right,in US well restored /military/WLA is at least
US$14-15000. Mat

Roadking, why do you want to buy wla or other  similiar Harley? If it's for fun just buy it and play with it,if it's an investment, and you have  some funds, then it's a different story.Mat
