RE: Tribute to Corporal Robert P. Warns II a Fallen Marine
It's easy for the politicians in this great country of ours to seepeople like Cpl Warns as merely numbers or, as was so eloquently put by our former Defense Secretary Rumsfeld, as a"fungible commodity", which means "easily replaceable". This video shows the human side of these deaths, the impact on the families and friends that will never, ever go away. Their lives are changed forever.
I sat here in tears through most of this- I'm now 58 years old and it reminded me of the hundreds of young Marines that I worked on as a young Corpsman in another war almost 40 years ago. I'll carry a piece of each of them in my heart forever. It was a privilege to have taken care of them.
We can only hope that they all come home safe and soon, may God Bless Them All.
Thank you for the posting.
