'56 Chevy w/ 265 and a 3 speed conversion for $150.00 in '66. POS. Sold it 6 months later for the same. Bought a '55 w/ a straight 6 (230 I think) and 3 on a tree. I loved that car, wish I still had it. Maybe someday I will again......

1967 Chrysler New Yorker  440 with a factory Holley 4 barrel. Bought it in 1978 for 75 bucks. Needed a radiator and had a little rust on it. That car could carry 9 of us around town, 7 of us comfortably. I'm lucky I didn't kill myself or anyone else.

1973 Ford Maverick 4 door with a 6 cylinder and a 3 speed manual tranny. Got it for $200 around 1984. The lady who owned it ran over a parking block and ripped the front end off.
I had someone weld it back on.

76 Olds Cutlass Supreme... 260 V8 and automatic on the column, bench seat and factory air. That old car wouldn't get outta its own way, but it ALWAYS started and ran good. I even managed to pull some tail in that beast... Bought it for $500, put 120,000 miles on it, sold it for $500.

My first was a '70 Pontiac Catalina.   I wish I still had the beast.  They just don't make 'em like that anymore.

Got out of the navy in 66 my mom said some girl was gonna buy a new Caprice but the the Chevy stealer was only gonna pay $250 for her trade and she needed $300 to make the deal. I said I would go look at it. A1957 turquoise Chevy Bel Aire convertible 3 speed overdrive. New top had to put in a new back window around $25 bucks. Her boyfriend had put a Hurst shifter in it.     Thanks MOM

Summer of 1969.  Talked my parents into letting me buy a '65 Chevy Malibu SS Convertible.  Dark blue, white bucket seat interior.  325 horse 327.  Still wonder why I'm still here.  0-60 in seven seconds, 60-120 in another seven seconds.  Two speed auto.  With the top down, five of us in the car, cruising at 120mph, hit the throttle and you could feel it take off.  Crazy car for a 17 year old.  My payments were $37 a month. Paid $699.  Wish I had that one back.

1951 chevy two door, three on the tree. It was a tank! It would pop out of third gear when you hit 53mph, which was top speed. No floor pan on the passenger side, HUGE bench seats which I put about 5 moving blankets on because the padding was gone.... I actually had 17 people stuffed in it one night going to see Boston in concert... Threw a piston through the water jacket one day going to see my grandmother.... To this day it's sitting in an uncles field in SE Kansas....

A Fiat 600, rear water cooled engine, smaller than a VW.  Paid $11.00 for it, and all the free parts I needed, just come get 'em.  Dad told me that when this one wore out, I could have a bigger car.  Tried my best to tear it up, tough little thing. Drove it for two years, and sold it for $250.00.  Still hadn't been able to tear it up by that time, lol.

You mean that thing was actually able to spin the tires with that tiny motor?

I had/have a 1995 Dodge Neon. Not the best in the world, but its really easy to modify it. Aftermarket parts are everywhere for that thing.
