That's definitely what I would call a bobber. The engine is an FX and not too hard to find but cost like hell. The frame is a custom and availability is good in many configurations. That bike would be very uncomfortable for a long ride and besides having to stop very often for fuel (peanut tank), it's a 'profiler' type of bike made to make the girls whistle at you.
You can buy a basic kit for a bike like that if you look around and you may even find one at a swap meet. They tend to be a bike that a guy will get tired of in a short time unless he has money enough to just buy another one. They are a fun bike to ride! Been there, done that... I still have mine....but it is almost back to what it's supposed to look like - a Harley Davidson. It's a'56 with shovel heads and barrels on a stock hard tail frame - straight leg, and Harley extended springer...
There really isn't anything special about that bike. The bike might cost you 10grand, and it is a cookie cutter custom bike. It would be seriously uncomfortable for long rides. From what I can tell it has a rigid frame, and a springer front end. Those two combined equal a sore ass, kidneysand just general fatigue. All in all, it might look cool, but is not worth it.
Not exactl cookie cutter. Tell me the last time you saw Invader wheels? 1970's? I rode almost the same bike (panhead) from California to Missouri. Yep lots of gas stops but loved every minute of it. That was when I was 25 years old however.
Cool bar hopper, not thinking I'd go hog wild with it. Wait ain't that a movie.
