bought my 03 anniversary wide glide at a mass dealership, msrp fine i wanted 2 tone and all that got what i wanted. went back for service and the sales person looked right through me like i was not there. not a thanks, nothing! just dropped 19 grand in their  lap and nothing. so i headed up to Monadnock Harley in Swansea NH and been going ever since. you walk in and the manager Bill knows me, knows my wife, asks me how my printing business is, little stuff but because of little stuff i am a customer for life. small dealership, nice people, great mechanics and parts people, highly recommended.

Low Country H-D in Charleston,S.C. did really nice job of gettin me a x-bones.
Story goes they were gettin thier 1st bones but I didn't put a deposit because I wanted to see it in person first.
Well they called on wed and said bike was at dealer and would hit the floor midday thurs.
I didn't make it by on thurs., went by on fri morn. but bike was gone.
Went home to d/fw for weekend thinking it might be awhile before I got another chance to see one.
On my way to dfw airport on monday morning I stopped at H-D dealer just checking and they actually had one on the floor (viv.blk), sat on it and loved it, but
alas, this particular dealer is located in an area that still has more buyer's than bikes and wanted +$3000.00 over msrp.
Flew back to Charleston, went to Low Country H-D upon exit from airport. Was told they had another x-bones coming and it would be blk. denim (perfect), s/b in within 1 wk. Put deposit on this one.
Pick bike up 3 days later ready to go. What a great job guys and gals of Low Country H-D. Also got a few nice gifts along with paying msrp for bike.

For anyone in or around Central PA, I must recommend #1 Cycle Center just outside of State College. The hubby and I went there with the title to the metric and cash for a down payment not sure of what we were looking for. The salesman, Bret, was very patient with us. Looked at everything and talked us thru everyone. We ended up getting an '02 1200 Sportster for quite a decent price. The owner even too $500 off the tag price to get us to buy it. Doing all the paperwork and switching plates kept us there well after 8 p.m. closing time(more like 9:30) and the owner, tech, merch associate, and of course Bret were all there when we rode out of the parking lot. We take a ride up there every other week or so since the daughter loves to look at bikes and they all greet us by our first names and talk and treat us like we are family.

The BAD, don't visit Horsepwer HD in Williamsport, PA. Even if you pull up on a bike and go in with leathers on, no one will help you out and if you do manage to catch someone, they act like it is a big hassle for them to help you. Or, they give the look like you are from another planet.

In southern Ohio, if you're looking to buy, or need help with a problem, you can't beat Ben Baxter and his people at Baxter's H-D in Bidwell...you're there once, and they know you by name when you come back in the door.

Sauk Prairie Harley-Davidson, Inc. was just awarded with the 2007 model year Gold Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award.
Sauk Prairie Harley-Davidson, Inc. has been in business in Sauk City, WI for 28 years. The award is given out to the top 25 Dealers in the United States, this is our 16th Gold Bar & Shield Award, the only dealer in Harley-Davidson history to have ever achieved that accomplishment

I have to say they treat you good, and go out of their way to get you what you want. I have ordered parts from them and had delivery the next day.

Ventura H-D  Gets 5 stars for my buying experience! Took me on 2 demo rides to help me make up my mind and when I decided on the Street Glide they gave me a 1500.00 Discount on 08 Street Glide and removed wire wheels (and didn't charge extra for the labor) when I told them I wanted the cast wheels. Also when the swap was completed they went out of the way to come to my house 20 miles out of the way to pick me up so I could take delivery on Tue rather than wait to Sat (I needed a ride there) There is a another H D dealer in my town that is ok but does not match up to Ventura HD.

A.D. Farrow Harley Davidson in Sunbury/Columbus Ohio is great. I bought my VRSCD at C&A Harley in Plain City Ohio and they were pretty nice. A.D. opened up the next summer, my wife and I rode out on Saturday to get a T-shirt and Brat (they have a band and a hot dog stand there evey Sat through the summer). While she was outside I saw my RoadKing Custom sitting there. Well, long story short, I walked out of there 1. Full 2. New T-Shirts and 3. Traded in the Night Rod for the Road King

Every since they have been great! Always know who you are when you walk in, and they aren't a small dealership (oldest one in the US) so this impressed me. Service Dept is great, Sales people are great (made me ring a bell when I signed the papers and everyone there stops and claps for you). Just a great buying expierence

Just bought my first Harley from Harley Davidson of St. Augustine, Fl. I shopped for several months at five dealers. Most were helpful, but few did anything to earn the business. I bought an 07 Sportster. They knocked 1k off of MSRP, and added a wind shield and Sissy Bar. The only things I couldn't get them to drop was the dealer fee of $395 bucks.

Piggy is right about Maroneys!  I f you're looking for a bike in the Lower Hudson Valley give them a shot.  I tried to buy my bike from New Roc in New Rchelle and I signed a deal for the bike and left my 500 bucks, then a week later the sales guy called and told me his manager wouldn't do the deal!  They were advertising a 10% off deal as long as you bought during January so I thought I had done great.  Website had it posted, sales man said all is good.  Even wrote up a contract with the right numbers.  Guess it was just a bait and switch and I got suckered.  We'll see if the BBB does anything about it?  I went to Maroneys a week later and although I did have to ask for assistance, must have still had a sour look on my face, I talked to Rich and told him my dilema.  He cut me a deal on a new Fat Bob.  Not as good as the other one but still below MSRP.  Really easy and clean.  They say they have a great tuner in their shop as well.  We'll see how it all turns out when I go to pick her up.  Can't wait till April!

Clinton Highway Harley Davidson of Knoxville Tennessee...Bought my first bike there. I'm 43 and been married 23 years. Finally got the better half to agree to me buying a bike. Had been window shopping for 2-3 years there. It was the closest dealer so I went there often. I finally got my settlement money and had told the salesman that they needed to get some Nightsters in. I had planned on buying my bike in full CASH. Thought I could get a great price that way.Was going to do a fly and ride from Texas and ride home to Knoxville. Was told that their prices work out higher due to dealer prep and such. And that I may get a discount but other "add ons" would still be higher than them. They(knoxville) said to get it in Writing if I chose that route. I thanked him and went home. Just a little disappointed. Was really looking forward to the long ride HOME.So when it became time to do the paperwork, I decided on Clinton Highway -Knoxville for my purchase. I put a thousand dollars down to get it ordered. Requested a olive green denim pearl with black denim. This proved to be a good choice. I had to wait nearly a month for them to locate this color. Found in Georgia with 5 miles on her. Title said it was NEW. Also ordered the ESSENTIALS package: Detachable windshield, Engine guard, luggage rack and a nice belt buckel. Also order the factory alarm plus siren and rechargeable remote reciever.Add on an extended 2more years on Warranty(4 years total.) Also opted to buy the 3 year Maintenance Agreement. That was an extra 1000.00. Was told the bike would be ready on a friday. Told the salesman that I work :FRI. SATURDAY. sunday and monday. Told him I would come in Tuesday to pick it up.(He offered to ride it to my home.) I thought that was a nice offer. But I declined. Went in on tuesday after calling and was told it was ready. Finally got there with check for full amount of payoff infull,to find that NO accesories were on it!!. Could deal with everything but no alarm system. Not even the factory alarm. Was highly disappointed, but they eventually made things right. Didn't get much free things but was treated right. was called to bring it back in for the accesories in a timely manner. But couldn't get a ride home from dropping it off very easily. They asked "where do you live? a couple of times but they never said they would get me home so I had to wait untilI got my own ride home. I guess I could have asked DIRECTLY but didn't think I should have had to. Finally got them installed and was Estatic with it. WELL worth the wait. Was properly instructed on every aspect of the bike and was introduced to everyone in their shop and the management. Even got to say Hi to the beautiful Harley clothing girls!!! Well worth it too!! Took it in for 1000 miles a month later and informed service that someone apparently put the horn bracket on backwards when installing the engine guard. and it scratched the front fender when hitting bumps in the road and when hard breaking. was also concerned with the throttle "sticking". Also told them the remote alarm recv'er won't hold more than a two day charge. The guy in parts said take it to a watch shop and they will replace battery for cheap price. I told him that if i did take it to watch shop that I would send bill to Harley factory to be re imburst. The manager heard about that comment(I mentioned this to my sales guy and he told manager) He said he would get me a brand new one within a week. He kept his promise. They also order me a new front fender and said they would take care of it when it came in(said 12-16 weeks to get it) got it in two weeks and installed it in less than an hour, plus told me the adjustment on throttle makes it a Cruise control. I even got a 140.00 in store credit for shop stuff. just have to pay sales taxes!! I love my nightster .Runs great. Only one thing could improve this bike: A six speed transmission so when your riding a 70 mph it don't feel like you need to shift up. Mother shou

Topeka HD.   Bought my bike there, and have had it back quite a few times for minor problems.....engine check lights, etc.  They reset the ECM each time, and after the third time, tracked down the problem.   No cost EVER out of my pocket, and ONE time it was towed in.

I have had an intermitten main power loss, which started a few weeks after I got the bike. Of course, it never does it while in their possession.....it IS intermittent.  Been in 3 times for that, and this LAST time, they had it for 5 weeks (picking the bike up tomorrow).    During that five weeks, I also had them do a fluid change on the front forks, which is normally a $250.00 job, by their book.

Went in today, to pay the bill.  As they could not track down the reason for my power losses, they did the fork oil change for 1/2 price, put in a new main breaker, AND gave me an additional TWO breakers, in case it should happen again.

Vreeland's HD in Bloomsburg, PA.

Background story...had a 2002 Fatboy that I bought from #1 Cycle Center in State College, PA so I checked in there first.  Asked them if they could get me a Crimson Red Sunglo Street Glide to which I was politely told, "Nope, no way, that is a popular color and I've already lost three sales this month because of it."  I thought no big deal so I got a price on a Black Pearl one since that was my second choice.  Salesman worked up a price with my Fatboy on trade.  I asked them if they would budge any on price...no way...so I said no way.  I was a little depressed since I had  no problems with them in the past.  They were always great to deal with.

Went to Vreelands the next day and asked the same questions.  Salesman Jose checked on the dealer network (which the #1 salesman refused to do) and told me he could have me the red one whenever I wanted it...he just had to do a dealer trade.  Ended up getting the bike at Vreeland's for $2000 off MSRP, free cruise control, ne freight charge, no dealer set-up fee, 10% off for parts, cloths or accessories for as long as I own the bike and they are delivering it 75 miles to my home for free.  They have my business from now on even though they are about 20 minutes further from my home than #1 Cycle Center.

Golden Gate HD in Corte Madera, CA - got a great price slightly under MSRP and no dealer setup fee crap. service dept top noch and they even exchanged my speedo after foging (a highly debated topic here on the forum). Although small dealership, they're certainly in for the repeat biz. now looking for my second scoot...

Big thank you and Kudos to Rachel Carasso and Jack Stubbs Buddy Stubbs HD in Arizona.

A bud is doing a resto mod project on my 1983 FXDG, a rare Special Edition Twin Belt Wide Glide (750 produced).  They have an original, unrestored FXDG in therir museum at the dealership.

I called begging for pics of any special markings on the bike as mine were all removed by the previous owner.  Even though I live several states away and have never spent a dime there and probably never will, they were kind enough to take some excellent shots and send them to me.

Also have to recognize the parts guys at Cajun HD in LAfayete, LA.  Especially Joey and Tony.

Joey has been helping me find parts for this old, obsolete, obscure bike since i bought it in 2003.  Tony is new, but has already figureds out how to get their system to spit out part numbers for these off-the-wall emblems and other crap I need.

Thanks a bunch guys.
