Another vote for Ray Price. I was sent there by ABNELECTRAGLIDE and the sales manager was great. He gave me a great price . Everytime I stop by everyone is really friendly. This is my first HD and I dont know what free stuff you guys got but I think I got alot. Tshirt, 1 year HOG membership, battery tender, a glass plaque with a picture of my bike, HD owner ring. Like ABNELECTRAGLIDE said I wont go to Cape Fear either.

RAY PRICE HARLEY in Raleigh , NC

These people are the HEAT!! As soon as you walk in the door they scoop ya up and take care of ya. I have purchased two bikes through them. Sales Staff is top notch, service dept is incredible, the gorgeous ladies at the motorclothes area are always nice to see. Overall Customer service is (5 STAR's)

Being Stationed at Ft Bragg in Fayetteville, im sure your asking why 50 miles north instead of CAPE FEAR in Fayetteville? The answer is NO RESPECT FOR THE CUSTOMER at Cape Fear.

I will ride 50 miles to Ray Price to buy S100! I have sent numerous friends up there and they all say the same thing.

Being in the military can be hectic and these guys know how we operate and adjust anything and everything they can to get us squared away. Even if i move across the country( WHICH I WONT) i would still drive the distance to give my money to them!

GREAT JOB RAY PRICE!! Thanks for all of the support to us while we have been deployed , we will be back soon to give you some more of our MONEY!!

Fletchers of Clearwater Florida: Nice bunch of people, unfortunately... they didn't have the Motorcycle I wanted... Sales Manager is a very friendly guy and I love the fact they post the "Out the Door" prices on their bikes. A big thumbs up for Fletchers...

Update on my good dealer experience:

McGuires HD in Walnut Creek.

1. Sun came out finally on Monday. I left work in San Francisco and found my shift linkage stuck. I was able to figure it out enough to get back home. Stopped at the dealer at about 5:30pm figuring I would need to leave it there. They took it in immediately and had 3 guys working on it. 30 minutes later and a bunch of cleaning/honing/lubing etc... I was back on the road, NO CHARGE!!!! Tipped the techs anyhow.

2. Sun still out, and trying to prevent me from riding... The zipper broke off my 5 month old FXRG jacket. Went to the dealer again. They are sending it to a local seamstress who will replace the crappy plastic zipper for a metal one at no charge. I know it's under warranty but HD warranty will replace with the same crappy zipper. So I don't have a jacket for 2 weeks. After explaining this to the MotorClothes manager and my need to buy a summer jacket anyhow, he gave me 20% off. Now that doesn't sound too special, but I couldn't even get better than 10% when I purchased my bike.

Anyhow, I can't recommend them enough for customer service. Prices are usually better online of course.

They even know my name when i go there, and always make sure to say hi.

I can't say enough good things about Bud's H-D in Evansville,In. I have purchased my last 2 RKs there and have always been treated like a king from everyone on their staff. Their service dept is top notch also and very clean. All departments from clothing to parts is excellent. They do the little things that keep me going back even though they are by no means the closest dealer to me where I live.

Stone Mountain Harley-Davidson in Lilburn, Georgia, and their other location, Granite Mountain H-D in Conyers, GA

The people at both stores always treat you as a customer and as a friend. Always willing to answer my stupid questions, and explain how to do things. I have had a number of service related issues, and they have taken care of them no questions asked.

I wrecked my bike back in Oct 05. Afterwards when I went into the stores, (both locations), a number of the employees came up to me asking if I was OK. The service guys fixed the bike like new, and kept me updated during the 3 months it took to get all the parts from Harley. They had to make a couple of adjustments afterward, but took me right in, didn't question me about it or give me the run around, and they didn’t make me wait until they could get around to it. They just fixed it!

The other day I asked a question of someone, he didn’t know the answer, so he asked a mechanic who just happened to be there. He wasn’t sure of the exact number, but offered to go look it up for me. I didn’t need it right then so I wasn’t going to put him out on a busy Saturday, nevertheless he offered two more times to go look it up. That’s service!

A while back I had a problem with my bike, it was really running bad, jerking and trying to stall. I was afraid to ride it to the store because of safety reasons, plus I didn’t want to make the problem worst. So I called the service manager, he had someone pick the bike up at my home and they fixed it the next day! They also offered to fix the front wheel break squeal without me asking. I’ve been in the store a couple of times since, and at least 4 guys have asked me how the bike is running now. I told them great!

The guys (and gals), in parts, are also willing to help you out, give advise, answer questions, and suggest products other than H-D, if they think it is a better solution. They will spend as much time as needed to help you make the best choice for your bike. Because of that I have ordered things though them that I could order direct or from a web dealer.
The ladies in clothing department are the best. I’m a big guy, and I am hard to fit. They have helped me look for my size, offered to get things from other stores, etc. I was going to order a jacket; the sale clerk suggested another jacket because it had a better fit for me. This jacket was a little less than the one I was originally thinking about.

And let’s not forget the sales reps; even after the sale they have remained friendly and helpful. They always say hello by name when I walk in, and not just the guy who sold me the bike. If they aren’t with a customer, and have some time they will stop and chew the fat a while. I know the sales guys always seem to get a bad rep after the sale, but not these guys.

With all the lousy businesses and the piss poor customer service we seem to run into these days, I just wanted to tell people about a company I think is doing a first-rate job, both Stone Mountain and Granite Mountain H-D are doing it right.

Long Branch HD in Long Branch, N.J..

When I bought my 05 WG and wanted the 16 Gauge Double Barrel exhaust they told me I can get a similar effect with cheaper slipons.

I ordered a winter special SE 103 kit in Feb., it just came in now (heads backordered) + some other goodies to go with it. Dealer calls me and says that HD just changed the rules saying HD won't warrantee as well as before, engine problem may not be covered like before, so if I want to cancel the order that is o/k, they will put everything in stock. I said it's o/k, I still want to do it there. He tells me to "sleep on it over the weekend, it's an expensive project you know".

Can't beat that for a Harley dealer I think.

Harley davidson of Baton Rouge and its sister location Hammond Harley Davidson are the best I know. From helping me out when I was stranded (Baton Rouge) to spending the extra time and effort to make sure the parts actually fit your needs they are tops(hammond).
I was really surprised this morning when Harley of Baton Rouge called me this morning to make sure that I was satisfied with the service they gave me this weekend. I had had a communication problem with Hammond Harley, probably as much fault mine as thiers. (hey it happens) I had requested a tour pack relocator be installed on my Ultra last monday, and informed them that they had the part in stock in Baton Rouge. They told me they would get it sent over and installed. When I went to pick up my bike it wasnt installed, and I was told the part didnt come in and Baton Rouge must have sold out.
I was fine with that because Tim, Richard, Kristen and all the staff there have always been very professional and attentive. My wife and I went on our merry way heading to Lafayette. We stopped to visit Baton Rouge Harley because it was thier annual bike thing. While I was there trying to convince my wife that a Road King would be better for her than a Fat boy (how many fatboys does one family need) I saw the part that I had been told was not in stock.
I was a little upset and was overheard by the salesman while telling my wife about the situation. The salesman asked me if I had an hour, I told him yes. Within 45 minutes they had my tour pack relocator installed and threw in a free siren. I later got to thinking about it and got worried that I had gotten someone in trouble at Hammond Harley so I stopped by yesterday. As soon as I walked in they told me that my tour pack relocator kit was in and they could change it immedietly. I found out that they had a small communication problem b/n service and parts. Parts had ordered a new one instead of getting one sent over from the other store.

Baton Rouge stayed late for me one Saturday night fixing my bike so that I could ride home. It was just a headlight, but hey I am sure they were just as ready to go home as I was.
Hammond got my Ultra in with no notice even though they had bikes backed out the door just to repair a headset.

I have had problems out of at least 3 harley dealers, I am not that easy to please. I guess it is because I am used to getting my way. I am not a squeaky wheel. I usually just leave in disgust and never go back. But I couldnt be more pleased with these Louisiana Harley dealers. You dont have to be a squeaky wheel, sometimes they are busy, but if wait patiently they will help you. I hope that it is because they are trying to give everyone as good a service as they have given me.
As far as buying is concerned I cant really say. I have only bought one bike from them. I bought from them because of the excellent service they had given in the past, and because I hoped they would continue to give great service. Sometimes it feels good to get more than you expected.

Mid America Harley, Columbia , Missouri 5 stars.
Had a great time with them buying my new bike back in Sept. They contact me regularly to see how it's going (phone, cards). Excellent service dept and parts dept. Had several things done there beyond the normal maint. Always happy with the out come.
Owner, service, parts and cloths shop folks always act happy to see me (in my case i'm sure they are). Always invite my wife and I to dealer functions.

Wow, I am impressed that good customer service is rampant among Harley dealers. My own experiences;

1. Laidlaw Harley Davidson, now of Baldwin Park, CA formerly of Rosemead, Ca. I bought a used '99 Standard from them in August 2001. Excellant price, excellant service and great attitude after the sale. Then we went back and spotted the Pearl White Ultra Classic and my wife said we should buy it. Having just bought the used bike, I was afraid I would be taking a real beating trying to trade it in just then. To make a long story short, we asked them to take back the Standard and we would pay the difference for the new one. They totally backed out the transaction on the Standard, and delivered the Ultra, no questions asked.

2. Skip Fordyce HD, Riverside, CA: Had most of my service done there until we moved to Utah. Steve Robb was the mechanic tech who has worked on my motorcycles for 20+ years, and he always added something to the work he was doing, like a no charge part that he had laying around, or little extra attention to detail that wasn't called for but noticed.

3. Zion HD, Washington, UT. I haven't bought a motorcycle from them but they are always on a first name basis with their customers. Being located near Zion National Park, they get a lot of travelers. I have seen them take the drop in with need for service and drop what they were doing to accomodate the travelers. Alan Blackburn promotes charitable causes at least once a quarter with a poker run with free food, music, and prizes. He is active in the community, and runs a real good operation. The service department is dedicated and experienced. I always get treated like I am the only customer that day.

4. Grand Forks HD, Grand Forks, ND; while traveling they did their utmost to solve my cruise control problem, and while they ultimately didn't solve it, was generous towards me, even loaning me a Vrod to go to lunch.

5. Gaylord HD, Gaylord, MI; Having been contacted by Grand Forks HD for a part for the cruise control, they were waiting for me to show up and install the module. The tech did his own diagnostic first and found that the problem was in the throttle roll off switch, not the control module, saving me a bunch of money for the fix. I was treated first rate there as well.

6. Dayton HD, Dayton, Oh; just dropped by to pick up some cleaning gear and was greeted by the entire staff as they showed up for work, asking about my trip, and forcing me to eat fresh doughnuts.

Everywhere I go I find the same upbeat attitude on the store staff. I don't know what the dealers have been taught but it most certainly pays off in the long run when they are friendly towards local and distant customers alike.

I am lucky to be close to to great dealers.

Gover HD in Piqua, Ohio. Never felt more welcome and appreciated at any delaer than here. Wnet about and beyond on my new bike purchase. Then through in a discount that I did not expect or ask for.!!!

Jim's HD in Mendon, Ohio. Needed steering head checked. The ower, Jim had a tech test it out. No charge! No wait. Always friendly!

Gateway to The West HD in St. Louis. Stopped by one day and the people were fantasatic. Free snacks, great service and did not even know me.

As a side note: Out of all the dealers I have visited the number that I would not go back to is very few. Most realize we as customers are the butter for their bread! Very brand loyal.

Man was I lucky. I had the extreme pleasure of dealing with GC, Mark and Cesar at HD of Atlanta. They gave me some good advice, no pressure and were just all around helpful with the whole process. I live about 5 minutes away from Killer Creek HD in Roswell, GA but felt they did not have my best interest at heart. Hell, I knew more than their so called "chrome consultant".

GC and the fellas were AWESOME!

If you are anywhere near HD of Atlanta, go there and get you a scooter. They know how to treat you right...

They even gave me a T-shirt and sold the Scooter for less than MSRP. SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will gladly drive 45 minutes further to hang out, get parts, service and all that comes with the experience...

Cant say enough good things about them...

A very good group of folks...

I just purchased a 2006 Street Glide yesterday at PRECISION HARLEY DAVIDSON, PAWTUCKET RI ***** (5 STARS) - I must say it was the easiest transaction I ever had. I was able to look at all the different models in their "candy store" (what they call it). Everything looked nice!

Anyway, from my sales, finance, and yes, parts already, they were great.

I bought my first bike from Harley Davidson of Naples (Florida), being a cop I walked in and asked for the “specialty bike” guy, I get introduced to Chauncey. A retired cop from up north. He shows me the bikes and asked if I had an idea of what I wanted. We talk it over and I decided on an Ultra Classic. I tell him that I wanted some time to think it over and discuss it with my wife. I got a call once a week from Chauncey asking if things were good, how’s the wife, etc. One week I get a call and he says that we need to make a decision soon so that my bike will arrive in a timely manner, not have to be put off due to the model year changing, and apparently Harley only makes a certain amount of specialty bikes. I tell him that I was sure I wanted the bike I was just a little nervous. He tells me, “lets do the paperwork, when the bike comes in if you don’t want it, we will keep and you owe us nothing.” So I do the deal (glad I did). He tells me it will be 5 months for the bike to be built and be shipped. Now I’m set, I’ve got plenty of time to take the Riders edge course. The bike shows up in 3 months, and I haven’t taken the course. Chauncey gets me into a class, bad enough it was going to sit in my garage until the class was done (wife’s on stipulation to getting the bike was the class). Chauncey politely tells me that he will be more than happy to put the break in miles on the bike for me if I liked. Long story short, class was great (I even worked for them as a “cone setter” on my days off for awhile $200 a weekend for easy work), deal went smoothly, Chauncey was great. The service department was easy to work with being a new guy to riding. I will definitely buy another bike from them.

Funny side note, when you buy a bike and sign the paperwork they ring a big bell and announce it to everyone at the dealership. Well I left training early to sign the papers my wife wasn’t with me. 3 weeks later we go into the dealer and she mentions that she didn’t get to ring the bell. They call over the intercom and announce it as if we just bought it and let her ring it. This dealership is a good bunch of people.

Sales staff bent over backwards to sell me a bike, let me demo just
about any bike they had available on the spot.
And were very patient for 4 months :)

This was my first Harley purchase and it was great!

Kudos to the ATL HD. I bought my first HD from GC last July and I too got a good deal and have been treated great by all the guys there. Billy in the parts dept. has gone out of hiss way to help me with accessories and even put me with the techs to make sure I got everything right on my stage 1, which I was doing myself. A few weeks back I stopped by because my wife now wanted a bike and GC wasn't there. I got a price on the bike she wanted from someon else and I thought it was a bit high so I shooed 8 other dealers within about 100 miles got my prices together, then I called GC and told him what I wanted and exactly what I wanted to pay for the bike. Within 15 minutes he called me back and He will have the bike ready for her to pick up on Saturday. So now I have to get bak with Billy in parts to get all her extras started.

This will give you an idea of the class Tampa HD Employees have and why I'm happy I got my bike there.. On December 15, 2005, I finally passed the paperwork for my FXDI. They were scheduled to deliver to my house on December 17th, since I had no one to drop me off to ride it home the round trip is about 70 miles... Well on December 16th I had a routine heart exam scheduled, In 1990 I had two heart attacks, so I have my heart checked yearly, no big deal... I thought... didn't turn out that way though.. They kept me in and gave me a quadrupal bypass... What transpired after on my bike was this, my wife contacted. Lee Krause, my salesman from Tampa HD and explained the situation to him. Since I was scheduled to be operated on he moved my delivery to first thing in the morning, and it arrived just when he said it would, the driver that delivered it was super nice to my son and very concerned about my condition, he put the bike into my garage and my son said he went over everything on the bike including finding sheets and material to cover it up, he knew it would be sitting for awhile and he wanted it to look good for me (I hadn't sat on it or even seen it yet) it was still in the shipping crate when I bought it.. so he wanted it sweet lookin' my son was impressed with his attitude and concern... From the time my wife called Lee until I got out of the hospital..
Lee called no less than half a dozen times... to find out how I was doing, it was very comforting for my family, but, it didn't stop there Lee had two get well cards sent to me signed by everyone at the dealership..... even that, wasn't the end of it... When he found out I was being sent home, he sent a beautiful fruit basket from all of the dealership to my house... While home he called
numerous times... Just checking up on me... When I was finally able to drive my car I rode over there to thank everybody... Lee got me as I walked in and man what a feelin'...everybody there from service to sales and all in between.. greeted me....Never in my life have I ever been treated this way by people who I didn't know or even met me... Now I know what they mean when they say your buying into a family when you buy a Harley.... As my wife said to Lee and Tampa HD... one of the things that helped me pull through this whole thing, was knowing I had my Harley waiting for me... So if anybody in the Tampa Bay area or anywhere for that matter, wants to deal with some really super people for a great bike or accessories go to Tampa HD....

(I started riding my bike as soon as I got the ok from my doctor and have about 600+ miles and smiles)... See You Out There... WgSkee

HD of Rockville is where I bought my FLSTC in 2000. They were friendly, knowledgable, and genuinly wanted me to have a good experience. Even though it is not close to home, it is worth it.

I really wanted to like the one Elkridge - but they just make it impossible.

Last month I went looking for 2 bikes. 1 for me and 1 for the wife. 1st stop..Racine Harley. Salesman took the time to go over all the used bikes with me. I told him I didnt know a thing about Harleys so he took his time and explained alot of things to me. I had my eye on a 05 EG they had. He then tells me about a 06 Sportster that was coming in later that day with 45 miles on it. (Sad story there..husband and wife purchased and she found out right after she had cancer so the bike got traded back in on a touring model so they could ride together) He told me what they would want for it and told me he would call as soon as it arrived.

2nd stop..Ukes in Kenosha. Was not to impressed with the salesman. After looking at the used bikes I looked at the new ones. Then the salesman pressure talk started..(thats one thing I cannot stand) so out the door I went.

3rd stop.. Hals Harley in Milwaukee. Salesman was nice enough. I then asked why the used bikes were only $300 cheaper than a new one. He said that yeah the stickers on the used ones were high and they would have to adjust them. My azz. I highly doubt that happened after I left.

Called the wife and told her to meet me at Racine Harley after work. Salesman had the wife sit on the same kind of bike that was due in. Wife said it felt good and the salesman answered all her questions. I asked what his best deal on the 05 EG and 06 Sportster would be if I took both. He came back with a price that was more than fair. We put a deposit down and filled out the financing paperwork. 2hrs later her bike was in and we got the call. We looked at it and it was exactly what the salesman had described. The next day we finalized the paperwork and took the bikes home. Everytime we go in there now the same salesman always stops and says hi to us using our first names. It is that kind of attention to detail that will keep me going back there.

Sales ladies were really helpful. I was looking for some sunglasses and they had me try on a bunch of different pairs until I had a pair that fit perfectly. No pressure at all on what kind to buy. They just made sure I was satisfied with my purchase.

Parts guys were extremely helpful in helping me pick out the pipes I wanted for my bike. They also helped out the wife with her pipes when she went in by herself to pick them out. Sold her just what she needed. No pressure to buy extras.

Service dept is great. I made an appointment for a remap (no time specified..just the day) I took it in and was out again in 20 minutes.
