Shumate HD in Kennewick, Wash. They have been very friendly and helpful whenever I went there. This last summer when a mistake was made when they were putting some new apes on my Springer, they paid in full for the whole thing, even for the free pickup and delivery when they had to reorder and redo the apes. They even paid for my motel room when I had to stay overnite. Since I've had no complaints with them, I give them 5 stars.

Racine Harley Davidson in Wisconsin. ****+++ Great Dealer, like family. The only thing preventing them from being 5 stars is inventory (bikes, parts, and accessories is small). They are a small dealer unlike some of the other huge dealers that don't know their customers personally. The big dealers seem to be cold and characterless. This dealer is like the Cheers bar, hey Norm! I walk in and ever knows me and I don't think it is because I spend alot of money there, they do it with everyone. I don't know everyone's experiences but for example their open house, beer and food is free. All of the other local dealers charge an arm and a leg for a beer. Seems to be a big money maker for them instead of customer appreciation.

For service Al Muth Harley Davidson in Black River Falls WI ***** stars. Good price and good service. Love it when you go some place you have been a couple of times and they remember your name. Can't say the same about the dealer I bought my bike from even though I have been there as many times. Never bought a bike from them but assume it is the same.

Jim's Harley Davidson. Mendon, Ohio. Been there since 1967. Owner still turns the wrenches and his wife sells the bikes. Great selection of bikes and parts. On site museum too ! If you need a part for a classic Harley, Jim either has it or fabricates his own. Great place. Been doing business with them for years. 5 stars. *****

Legacy Harley Davidson-Effingham,IL and Gutterridge Harley Davidson-Danville, IL.

Legacy is my home dealer and almost brand new. Three of the friendliest guys own it and I get along with them like family. They go out of their way to treat me good because they know that I know alot of people and I always support them. Great staff and beutiful new building.

Gutterridge is my 2nd home. They have a dyno and some really good techs. They do all my major work. They treat me like family too.

It's great to have a couple of dealers I can trusy. Neither is interested in ripping me off and usually give me a decent break.

I've had some bad dealer experiences but that is for the other thread.

Mcguire in Walnut Creek, CA.

Made me feel like family. No good discounts, but nobody can beat web prices anyhow.

Parts guys have spent a lot of time with me helping me to plan and not make 'bad' purchases. Even the owner makes a point to say Hi to everyone.

They know me, and my name. Even if I can't remember most of theirs. They have my business as long as I am living within a reasonable distance of them.

I have nothing but good things to say about Dillon Brothers Harley-Davidson (http://www.dillonharley.com/) in Omaha, NE. I bought my 2006 XL 1200C Custom Sportster from them. The sales, service and parts staff are outstanding. I highly recommend them to anyone in the Omaha area looking to buy a Harley or have their bike worked on. They are located at 174th & Maple. Las Vegas Harley (on Eastern) ... a few months back, not sure they would have made the list ...

Bought my 1st ever Harley in Dec ... had a problem with the fork lock ... couldn't be fixed ... they replaced the bike the next week and I got some extra goodies. Sales manager (Mark) had asked me to trust him, not sure I did, but do now! They did me right.

Service guy, Rudy (spelling?), was fabulous, made me feel like a long-time customer ... knows his stuff, showed me around the shop and doesn't hard sell service.

Apparel, Jodi is the best ... has even asked my wife and I on group rides with more experience riders ... I would never work with anyone else ...

All in all they rate a 5 in my book ...

I gotta say that AlamoCity Harley, in San Antonio, has really been good to me. After the first time I walked into the place, I'm greeted by name by most of the service folks, who are all very friendly and outgoing...MOST of the moto sales people are as well. I've not seen anything that puts me off from these guys so far and I've been going since about a year before the re-modeling job...Ok...Plus the girls aren't bad to look at, either. :p

Frederick HD is the best I've dealt with. Knowledgeable parts people and excellent techs. I bought my RK from them and they've done all the engine work on it. They have their own machine shop and dyno. Newly renovated building is very nice. Went to a Performance Workshop there in December. It was held in the machine shop. Impressive array of equipment. Next month, I'm having them install gear driven S&S Cams. All work done by them is covered under the terms of your HD warranty (extended warranties included). *****

HD Store on Pulaski Hwy. in Baltimore has very good people, but I've never had any work done there. ***

Rockville HD has good people and good techs. I bought my Low Rider and Electra Glide Classic from them. ****

My dealer, Liberty HD in Rahway NJ has treated me very fair. Bought my bike for list, as they sell all 06's for sticker. They give a 10% discount on parts and clothing if you buy your bike there. Seems everyone in the dealership knows my name now.

If and when I buy another new HD, it will be from them

From a good deal on the N-Train to follow up calls and letters from the salesman, general manager to the service manager thanking me for my business. Kinda wish I could send some car dealers I've done business with there to learn how to treat thier customers. The service depts. at Tampa H-D and Brandon Harley shop have also been goood to deal with.

Not from chicago but all my parts are ordered from chicago harley due to there 20% off and I usually get the stuff in a week or so. Here is a link: http://www.chicagoharley.com/

Nobody seems to know about a site that I found to be extremely useful and "right-on" for the WI dealers

If you go there don't forget to rate a dealer to make it useful for more people.

Called Montgomery HD yesterday @ 4:30 about a tire for my RK. They said to bring it on @ 8:30 today. I got there at 8:20 they signed me in and rolled her back for the tire change. First name basis with the parts and service guys, (they started it). Friendly bunch of folks. Paul Hale is the GM. He runs a nice store. Prices and labor are pretty much HD.

Beartooth HD in Billings MT. **** 1/2

Before they moved to their new location just of I-90 in 03 they did a bit of work for me when I was passing thru.

While I was there I got to overhear them taking care of a fellow traveler who had scrambled the bottom end of his Shovel. Got him fixed up with a hotel room and a way to get his scoot home.

In 05 I hit the new store. Faces were all different, but they were still accomodating.

I always try to stop in when I am passin' thru.

My vote would go to O'toole's HD in Wurtsboro, NY. Bought my first HD there in 1982 and the owner, John O'Toole still knows me by my first name. It's a small dealership and not at glitzy as some larger dealers (don't think there is a chrome consutant there yet anyway). Have always been treated fairly by the parts and service people.

I know that TCSTD had a problem with Moroney's in Newburgh, but I'd have to give them the thumbs up also. Bought my current ride there and had the initial service and a 95" job done last year there. George in the race shop and Denise in the sales department are all first rate. Can't comment too much on the general service folks, I've only had my 1000 mile service done there, done everything else myself.

[color=#330066]http://www.kentscycles.com/ (http://www.kentscycles.com/)

For all the folks here on the forum that will make it to Abilene for the Texas State HOG Rally in 2006- - you gotta meet this guy

Here's my take on Steve H - - HD sales rep - -and his customer service attitude - -(skirt fluffing going on here!:D) - -here it goes...

Steve H is simply the most laid back friendly, easy going, good listening salesman - (willing to lend an ear, actually listens to the customer, he actually remember what the customer said), lets the customer ask the questions, then in turn asks the questions to the customer (gets the customer to realize what type of bike is right for him/her- not the salesman's commission), then lets the customer try the bikes....he'll even greet you when you come back in the store - never to busy to say hi

But dang - -isn't that the way all HD sales reps should be? - - They are far and few between - -I have been to alot of dealerships in the VA/Maryland/PA area - - especially when I was shopping for my 05 FLHT - - sure I found the bike I wanted...but wish I had come across another Steve H!

okay - so if you stop in at Kent's - - say hi!

Carolina Harley in Gastonia, NC. (Outside of Charlotte) is a great dealer. Good knowledgable people, decent prices. Will not discount bikes off MSRP. Great selection of bikes, clothes and does a promt job with service. My wife bought my last bike from them as a surpise birthday present and they stayed late and threw a party for me and family. A year later, they still know my name and greet us when we walk in.

I don't remember the name of the dealer,,but it was in Roanoke, Virgina , Labor day weekend and the dealer was closed. We were on a trip and a buddies battery died.
Called the local Police Dept and they offered to call the owner and see if he could help.

To make a long story short, a guy came down within 30 minutes, opened the service department, got the bike inside and replaced the battery under warranty. We asked if he could open the showroom so we could spend some money to show our appreciation.
He did and we did.

I sent an e-mail the following week to the dealer to thank them for their kind service.
Turns out the fellow that opened the place was the owners son who by the way never mentioned that fact. Even better, he left the dealer and went to his Dad's for a get together and never even mentioned this to his Dad.

TSI Columbia Harley-Davidson in Cloumbia Connecticut.

Great sales, great parts people, superb service, HOG sponsor, and just an awesome dealership.

They have gone far out of their way to be sure my experience with HD is positive.

I always receive friendly hellos from everyone, always asked how my ride is, and they are willing to spend some time to chat.

Yup, I would buy another bike from them and recommend them to my buds.

Thought I'd post a good experience. Greenville Harley Davidson, Greenville, SC. In June '05 I purchased a used 883C, '05 model sold new by them. I was given a new owners manual, t-shirt, hat, key chains, beer cousy's, and 10% off on all parts purchased as long as I owned the bike. While shopping there before I bought the bike, I found the one I wanted. I had no cash on me but Tommy, the salesman said he would hold it for me until 4pm the next day. They were hosting the RedCross Charity ride that next day and expected lots of people, Lorenzo Lamas the TV star was to be there etc. I told him I hated for him to hold it that long because I couldn't get there till 3pm, he said it was no problem he could tell I wanted that bike. Well the next day I walk in at 3pm and he calls me by name and leads me over to the bike all serviced/cleaned and ready to go. Since that day everytime I walk in he calls me by name, introduces to me to whoever he is talkin' to and gets an update from me as to how many miles I have put on the bike so far. I have nothing to say but good things about Greenville HD. I hope nothing changes my opinion of them.

I live in NH and bought my bike sight unseen from Andraes H-D in Urbana Ill. They were great to deal with and the price was awesome ( I think ) The local dealer- Heritage Harley, didn't seem to be workable and if I bought a bike from them, wouldn't store it for me for 2 months without charging me $350. Sorry, If I am spending 16k on a bike and probably another 2k for accessories, I don't think storage should be an issue.

Got a 1999 Ultra from them that was a stone lemon. Spent most of its first summer in the shop with me riding the owner's bike. HD failed miserably at addressing the problems. Elyria HD stepped up to the plate, on their own, and did a buyback. Harley wouldn't even give them credit on the allotment for another Ultra. They gave me a new Ultra in a straight across trade as well as giving me first dibs on the first Screamin Eagle RoadGlide that they got in.

And last but not least is Lances HD in Pa. http://www.lancesharley.com/ Bought a V-Rod from them last summer and they made the deal quick & simple. Everyone there was helpful & friendly.

I was preparing to buy a new heritage today so I decided to call all the local dealers to compare prices before chosing the right dealer to deal with.(I have 5 differnt dealers with 80 mile radius),so I started calling.I tlked to a saleman named rick at the allen store,he was the most arrogant person ive ever dealt with over the phone. When he finally got around to telling what the bikes were selling for I almost fell out my chair. They were 1600 dollars over msrp and 1700 dollars higher than the Paris texas store. When I asked why I was told it was because they were in the Dallas market area and thier bikes would bring more money.I explained I was a repeat customer but that didnt help.I have spent 38.000.00 there since last year including a new bike and accessories.Needless to say I bought from the Paris Texas store. My salesman was Brad and he did a super job.Rick from Allen lost a commission because of attitudeand high prices, and HD of Dallas lost a customer for life.I will never spend another dime there.I just needed to vent about my days experiance. Thanks for reading

Straightshot,

When I was shopping last summer, I too went into the Allen store. What a joke!! Slick type sales people and prices over MSRP. Just kind of chuckled when the told me their pricing policy. Walked out and will never return.

I bought from American Eagle up in Cornith. Great sales process and so far, so good with service. Bryan Tynes, SM, is as low key as you can get. Good man with good values. Highly recommend them for your next ride if you are in the DFW area.

p.s. not associated with them in any way.

Topeka Harley! Topeka Ks. Mike Paterson (owner) and his crew of Guys and Gails are the most Honest and straight arrow Harley Dealer People I know. They truely believe in the old time traditions of a Happy Customer is a return customer. The dealership has been around since the 30s and in the Patterson family since 1949.

American Eagle Harley in Corinth Texas (just outside of Dallas) get a thumbs up. 5 stars so far. I went to the dealership with my father when he was looking for a Fat Boy. He bought his and about a week and a half later I bought an 06 Deluxe. I was not even remotely in the market for a Harley (had not even THOUGHT about it!) but after my fathers dealing with their staff buying his Harley, and falling in love with the black/white Deluxe, well I hung up the sport bike spurs and had to have it.

As an example, when he bought his Fat Boy he bought the windshield to go with it. After I bought my Deluxe he decided that he really liked the running lights on it and decided to buy the kit for his Fat Boy. When he installed the lights he found the windshield that he had purchased would not work with the lights and he was just going to sell the windshield that he had just bought and buy the correct fit windshield. He mentioned this in passing and their service department told him that if his windshield was in original unscratched shape, that they would swap it out for him. As it was in perfect shape they did. They did not have to do this of course as he had never even mentioned adding the lights to his Fat Boy when purchasing it, but they swaped it out just to provide good customer service. I do however have to say that it worked as has has spent over $2000 in the month sense then buying stuff! One way or the other, the facility is great, Sean our salesmawas great, and the service department went the extra mile to make him happy, so I have to recommend them. ***** stars.

I live in Seattle and have (oddly enough) five dealers nearby(20mi). I was dealer/bike shopping for ~12mo and found all of them to be verry helpful save one. Destination Harley in Tacoma WA had an attitude - poor pricing and, well kinda poor selection. VERY agressive in hard sell. I bought my bike from East Side Harley in Bellevue, good guys, good price, good after sales.:D

Augusta HD

Bought a used 89 Electra Glide with 100k plus miles from them. They told me of a few problems the bike had. Overall the bike is in great shape. I had the bike for a couple of days and the clutch went out. I returned the bike to the dealer to repair it. I expected to be charged. They fixed the bike the same day and called me to pick it up. I picked the bike up and they told me NO CHARGE. The service MGR told me they should have caught the problem before they sold it. Know that's service.[sm=biker2.gif]

I had a good sales and service experience at Chosa's/Chester's (they hadn't turned into Chester's yet). Bought my 05 FLHTI from them last March. Actually went in to get a set of the bike lift adapters for my Lowrider, they had an 03 Classic sitting outside. I was looking at it, sales guy came out and asked if I wanted to take it for a ride. (I was looking at a touring bike for a few months, almost bought an EG Std - used, from Chandler HD, but they wouldn't deal at all.) I went home, asked my wife if she wanted to go for a ride with me on it, and we both went back and took it out for an hour or so. Both loved it so much we decided to see what we could do to get it! Ended up getting a new standard instead. Flip, the sales guy, was pretty patient too, not pushy at all (I hate pushy sales people), they had several classics and standards coming in within a month or two, and said he could hold any of them for me (for like $100) if I wanted to wait.

Service, they have treated me well, but I go to an indy for the service I can't do myself (about half the price of any HD shop). I had the Stage 1 kit installed when I bought the bike, and about 6 months later holes were visible in the A/C. Talked to the service manager, and he said they got a bad batch of cleaners around that time. Told me to bring the bike in and they would swap it out. Scheduled an appt, they swapped it out in 30 minutes, no charge! I like service like that!

Treated me & the wife like family the 1st time we walked into the dealership. NO pressure, games or BS. Will talk with you, not above you.
Took delivery of an '06 Ultra this past Thursday. Service manager would not let me ride it home because of the salted roads. They put it in a trailer and delvered it, that afternoon. NO Charge!!. Overall a great experience.

Wilwert's really know that customers are the reason business exists and they earned a loyal customer.

Harding Harley in Corning NY,,,these guys are THE best; 7 outta 5.

I live down on LI, 5+ hrs drive away. A bit apprehensive at first given the distance, not seeing the bike at all, etc. but the transaction was seamless. We did it ALL over the phone, faxed auth forms n stuff back/forth, AND got an excellent deal, super price, and then some. On the big day last April we drove up, Dennis ( salesguy no longer there now) took great care of me. Hooked me up w/ great financing, super knowledgable. Had my FXD waiting fresh n ready, all paperwork ready to go. Jeff Harding owns the shop - great guy. My next bike - shooting for a full dresser, will definitely again be from Jeff. And the best part, the drive up RT 17 is absolutely unbelieveable, great roads, nice twisties n sweepers, and by the time I got home, the bike was half broken in already. AND on top of all that, 2-3 months AFTER the sale Jeff sent me the coolest laser etched glass plague - personalized w/ my name, bike pic and VIN..just to say thanks. A total class act. Too bad he's not local, although I am planning my next service around a trip back up there. Highly recomended shop.

I got my '05 FXD at Downtown H.D. in Tukwila, Wa. I got the bike with security system and everything for $12.2K OTD They gave me above book on my Triumph Thruxton trade in too, great bunch of guys and gals. This is the third bike I've bought off them starting with a '78 Sporty in '82, then an surplus WSP bagger in '85 now this. I rode sportbikes through out the '90's then new Hinkley Triumphs for the last 5 years, when I wanted a change back to Harley they were the first place I looked, I shopped around all the other local dealers and they were the best price and selection without a bunch of games. No complaints here....

I have a positive experience to report for all. New Bern HD in New Bern NC handled everything with my bike while I was deployed to Iraq and did an extremely good job. They dealt with my wife in a fraternal manner and made her feel comfortable in my absence. Milton in sales and Anthony in parts, are both reputable guys that I would deal with again. I got two t-shirts from them and a thorough tour of their facilities and an explanation of everything concerning my Lowrider. I think they deserve high marks. Anyone on the NC coast swing by New Bern HD.

I just bought my 2004 FLSTC (with 1,500 miles on it) at HDoMC, Inc (http://www.harleyofmc.com/) located in Mason City, IA. Now I did not go there because my local dealer treated me wrong or anything, but this bike was the one I wanted. If I was buying new I would have bought in my home town.

Anyway, HDoMC treated me real well. Gave me a price I could live with, introduced me to ALL of the staff, and at no time did they even attempt to try and sell me extra's such as service plans or warrenty etc. They handed me a spread sheet with the stuff on with a simple explaination that these were the service plans and prices if interested and left it at that. No pressure at all to sell me anything. Since the weather in my area isn't good yet, they are delivering the bike to me. They did small things too like adjust the bars and hand controls to fit me, punched the pipes, changed the oil even though it wasn't due to name a few.

So, will I return to them? Yes. I'll do my own oil changes, but for the heavy maintance I'll give them a chance to do me right.

I would like to add Fink's Harley Davidson in Zanesville Ohio to the list of good dealers. My girlfriend was interested in a 100th anniversary V-rod and we shopped around a lot. Some dealers were just not interested when she would ask them about a bike, guess they didn't think a woman would buy one! These people went out of their way to answer any and all questions she had about the bike. She started talking to them back in Oct. and they never seemed to get tired of her questions. They even called her to see if she needed to know anything else. She would talk to salesmen, mechanics, and anyone else involved with them. They all were very curtious and patient. As a result they made the sale and she couldn't be happier.

Just went by the new Big Swamp Harley-Davidson in Auburn/Opelika, AL this past weekend. They have a great new dealership...Nice people and awesome t-shirt selection with one of the coolest dealer logos I have seen on a shirt. Although this isn't a "dealer" kudos, I'd like to throw my $.02 in for M&M Cycle's parts business. I ordered a couple of Kuryakyn parts over their website last week and got them in record time as usual. I then received another UPS shipment from them today, with second set of parts that I had not ordered. All it took was a single call to M&M, I spoke with Mark who looked up his order and PayPay records and took care of the whole thing in a couple of minutes. Shipping back to Ohio is on them and they're even accepting a return on a part from the original order that I found out I couldn't use, all at no charge. Now that's great customer service. Great to deal with.

There are two excellent dealerships in south central PA that I deal with. I've bought several Harleys from both of them and they are about equidistant from my home. The one is Laugerman's Harley Davidson in York, PA only a few miles from the Harley Davidson York plant. Their parts and service departments are excellent. Good, knowledgeable folk who make you feel like part of the family. The other dealer is Lancaster Harley Davidson in Willow Street, PA just south of Lancaster city. They, too, have an excellent staff both in the store and in the service department. They're professionals in every important way but they treat you like a good friend. Both stores are still family owned and run shops. It's like old home week in either store whether you're buying a bike or just stopping in to browse. Both stores make the experience of owning the bike even better.

After the deal was done I was given two tee shirts, $115 towards a helmet, a HOG membership and some Harley cleaning products. I don't have any comments regarding their service department yet, but I'll be a happy guy if they are as good their sales and customer services.

My story of my experience with Barb's Camden County HD in Mt. Ephraim NJ

called around lunch time on a Friday and spoke to a very pleasant lady named Debbie in sales, asked her if I could fax over a completed credit app.
I faxed her over the app. and I got a call back from her in about 10 minutes telling me she received it and was sending it off to Harley. she said she'd call
me back in about a half hour. sure enough, about a half hour later my phone rang with the sweet words "your approved, come get your bike"
so Wifey and I went up after work to do the paper work. Debbie walked us around the dealership introducing us to all the folks in the various departments.
I spent some time with Tom (the Service manager). we discussed putting pipes on the bike, he gave me a quote and I told him to "git-r-done"
the only hitch was the F & I office. the gentleman we were dealing with had only been with Barbs 2 weeks and we ran into a little trouble with finance rates.
to the degree that at one point I got up and walked out telling him this just isn't going to work. Debbie caught me on my way out the door and seem really disappointed with the news that I wasn't buying the bike. at this point she grabbed a gentleman by the name of Gary (sales manager) and within 10 minutes he had the whole deal worked out where I needed it to be. we signed the paper work and decided that they would deliver the bike to me Saturday (free of charge)
they opened at 9am sat. morning, I called Tom around 1:00 pm to see where we were at. he told me that he had to check and that he would call me back in about 15 minutes.
again, about 15 minutes later my phone rang. he said it would be about an hour and someone would call me for directions to my house. my phone rang about an hour later. I gave the man directions and about 40 minutes later there was a Barb's truck and trailer out front of my house.
Ken unloaded my bike put it in my garage and returned my old pipes and air filter to me. he spent about 10-15 minutes going over the bike with me and another 15-20 just shooting the sh!t.

in short, Barb's did everything that they said that they said they were going to and in the end they made me a very happy Harley owner. they have earned my future business.

on another note. I have a very well know HD dealer about 1 mile from my house, I called them the same friday and asked for a specific salesman....to which I was left on hold for a solid 15 minutes (without anyone picking up the phone to tell me that someone would be right with me) so I hung up and called right back, this time simply asking for the sales dept. to which I spent another 5 minutes on hold before hanging up.....I kinda got the feeling that they weren't that interested in my business so as you can tell....I took it else where.

Bought my bike there. Sales treated me just fine. Followed-up after purchase to ensure everything was going OK with me and the bike. I haven't used the service department. I have a Night Train on order there right now, my dealings have been nothing but great with these

I went back to parts to talk about what extras I might want, and Darren was very helpful!
He even gave me a big thick parts and accessories catalog from behind the counter!

I agree completely with FireHawk. Buddy Stubbs dealership is unlike an other dealship I have experienced. Just ordered a 2006 Road Glide. No other dealership here i the valley sells new bikes at MSRP. The other dealerships that I have been to lately (Hacinda & Aroowhead) tack on $2500 on top of MSRP. When questioned the sales manager at Arrowhead told me they add the $2500 because "they can".

Buddy allso offers personal tours of his million dollar motorcycle collection, located under lock and key at his dealership every Friday night @ 6pm. Quite the pleasure. http://www.arizonaharleydavidson.com/custompage2.asp?pg=museum&sid=05650904X4K4K2006J8I23I44JPMQ1384R0

Is dealership mark-ups like describe above common across the country ??? I'd be interested in hearing from other members experiences.

I have nothing but good things to say about Sandhills Cycle in Pinehurst NC. Not only did I get a 06 Springer for under MSRP, they give you 20% off anything you get for 90 days. Not bad IMO. They are straight forward and it's a small enough shop to serve your needs.

Update: After dealing with these guys more over the past year or so, I would say it is a good place to buy a bike (because of the good prices and 20% off everything for 90 days) but the service seems to..... well suck sometimes. I understand if a shop is busy, but sometimes I go in and there are 0 customers and they still seem to ignore ya. They rarely ask if I need help with anything and it takes forever to get help. The people that work in service seem to have no motivation to help the customer- it's like they wish you never walked in the door. It's not like I'm a bad customer either- I have never been rude, complained about anything, taken anything back even, etc. Is it just me or does it seem like service- almost everywhere you go has gotten extremely worse in the last decade or so? Maybe it's because I am getting older or come from a very small town, but I think customer service has gone down the toilet in most places these days. Just wanted to give anyone a heads up who might be considering these guys as their dealer. There, I'm done.

I grew up about 20 minutes from there, but I don't think they had a Harley dealer at the time.

Another vote for Ray Price. I was sent there by ABNELECTRAGLIDE and the sales manager was great. He gave me a great price . Everytime I stop by everyone is really friendly. This is my first HD and I dont know what free stuff you guys got but I think I got alot. Tshirt, 1 year HOG membership, battery tender, a glass plaque with a picture of my bike, HD owner ring. Like ABNELECTRAGLIDE said I wont go to Cape Fear either.

RAY PRICE HARLEY in Raleigh , NC

These people are the HEAT!! As soon as you walk in the door they scoop ya up and take care of ya. I have purchased two bikes through them. Sales Staff is top notch, service dept is incredible, the gorgeous ladies at the motorclothes area are always nice to see:D. Overall Customer service is (5 STAR's)

Being Stationed at Ft Bragg in Fayetteville, im sure your asking why 50 miles north instead of CAPE FEAR in Fayetteville? The answer is NO RESPECT FOR THE CUSTOMER at Cape Fear.

I will ride 50 miles to Ray Price to buy S100! I have sent numerous friends up there and they all say the same thing.

Being in the military can be hectic and these guys know how we operate and adjust anything and everything they can to get us squared away. Even if i move across the country( WHICH I WONT) i would still drive the distance to give my money to them!

GREAT JOB RAY PRICE!! Thanks for all of the support to us while we have been deployed , we will be back soon to give you some more of our MONEY!! :D

Fletchers of Clearwater Florida: Nice bunch of people, unfortunately... they didn't have the Motorcycle I wanted... Sales Manager is a very friendly guy and I love the fact they post the "Out the Door" prices on their bikes. A big thumbs up for Fletchers...

Update on my good dealer experience:

McGuires HD in Walnut Creek.

1. Sun came out finally on Monday. I left work in San Francisco and found my shift linkage stuck. I was able to figure it out enough to get back home. Stopped at the dealer at about 5:30pm figuring I would need to leave it there. They took it in immediately and had 3 guys working on it. 30 minutes later and a bunch of cleaning/honing/lubing etc... I was back on the road, NO CHARGE!!!! Tipped the techs anyhow.

2. Sun still out, and trying to prevent me from riding... The zipper broke off my 5 month old FXRG jacket. Went to the dealer again. They are sending it to a local seamstress who will replace the crappy plastic zipper for a metal one at no charge. I know it's under warranty but HD warranty will replace with the same crappy zipper. So I don't have a jacket for 2 weeks. After explaining this to the MotorClothes manager and my need to buy a summer jacket anyhow, he gave me 20% off. Now that doesn't sound too special, but I couldn't even get better than 10% when I purchased my bike.

Anyhow, I can't recommend them enough for customer service. Prices are usually better online of course.

They even know my name when i go there, and always make sure to say hi.

I can't say enough good things about Bud's H-D in Evansville,In. I have purchased my last 2 RKs there and have always been treated like a king from everyone on their staff. Their service dept is top notch also and very clean. All departments from clothing to parts is excellent. They do the little things that keep me going back even though they are by no means the closest dealer to me where I live.

Stone Mountain Harley-Davidson in Lilburn, Georgia, and their other location, Granite Mountain H-D in Conyers, GA

The people at both stores always treat you as a customer and as a friend. Always willing to answer my stupid questions, and explain how to do things. I have had a number of service related issues, and they have taken care of them no questions asked.

I wrecked my bike back in Oct 05. Afterwards when I went into the stores, (both locations), a number of the employees came up to me asking if I was OK. The service guys fixed the bike like new, and kept me updated during the 3 months it took to get all the parts from Harley. They had to make a couple of adjustments afterward, but took me right in, didn't question me about it or give me the run around, and they didn’t make me wait until they could get around to it. They just fixed it!

The other day I asked a question of someone, he didn’t know the answer, so he asked a mechanic who just happened to be there. He wasn’t sure of the exact number, but offered to go look it up for me. I didn’t need it right then so I wasn’t going to put him out on a busy Saturday, nevertheless he offered two more times to go look it up. That’s service!

A while back I had a problem with my bike, it was really running bad, jerking and trying to stall. I was afraid to ride it to the store because of safety reasons, plus I didn’t want to make the problem worst. So I called the service manager, he had someone pick the bike up at my home and they fixed it the next day! They also offered to fix the front wheel break squeal without me asking. I’ve been in the store a couple of times since, and at least 4 guys have asked me how the bike is running now. I told them great!

The guys (and gals), in parts, are also willing to help you out, give advise, answer questions, and suggest products other than H-D, if they think it is a better solution. They will spend as much time as needed to help you make the best choice for your bike. Because of that I have ordered things though them that I could order direct or from a web dealer.
The ladies in clothing department are the best. I’m a big guy, and I am hard to fit. They have helped me look for my size, offered to get things from other stores, etc. I was going to order a jacket; the sale clerk suggested another jacket because it had a better fit for me. This jacket was a little less than the one I was originally thinking about.

And let’s not forget the sales reps; even after the sale they have remained friendly and helpful. They always say hello by name when I walk in, and not just the guy who sold me the bike. If they aren’t with a customer, and have some time they will stop and chew the fat a while. I know the sales guys always seem to get a bad rep after the sale, but not these guys.

With all the lousy businesses and the piss poor customer service we seem to run into these days, I just wanted to tell people about a company I think is doing a first-rate job, both Stone Mountain and Granite Mountain H-D are doing it right.

Long Branch HD in Long Branch, N.J..

When I bought my 05 WG and wanted the 16 Gauge Double Barrel exhaust they told me I can get a similar effect with cheaper slipons.

I ordered a winter special SE 103 kit in Feb., it just came in now (heads backordered) + some other goodies to go with it. Dealer calls me and says that HD just changed the rules saying HD won't warrantee as well as before, engine problem may not be covered like before, so if I want to cancel the order that is o/k, they will put everything in stock. I said it's o/k, I still want to do it there. He tells me to "sleep on it over the weekend, it's an expensive project you know".

Can't beat that for a Harley dealer I think.

Harley davidson of Baton Rouge and its sister location Hammond Harley Davidson are the best I know. From helping me out when I was stranded (Baton Rouge) to spending the extra time and effort to make sure the parts actually fit your needs they are tops(hammond).
I was really surprised this morning when Harley of Baton Rouge called me this morning to make sure that I was satisfied with the service they gave me this weekend. I had had a communication problem with Hammond Harley, probably as much fault mine as thiers. (hey it happens) I had requested a tour pack relocator be installed on my Ultra last monday, and informed them that they had the part in stock in Baton Rouge. They told me they would get it sent over and installed. When I went to pick up my bike it wasnt installed, and I was told the part didnt come in and Baton Rouge must have sold out.
I was fine with that because Tim, Richard, Kristen and all the staff there have always been very professional and attentive. My wife and I went on our merry way heading to Lafayette. We stopped to visit Baton Rouge Harley because it was thier annual bike thing. While I was there trying to convince my wife that a Road King would be better for her than a Fat boy (how many fatboys does one family need) I saw the part that I had been told was not in stock.
I was a little upset and was overheard by the salesman while telling my wife about the situation. The salesman asked me if I had an hour, I told him yes. Within 45 minutes they had my tour pack relocator installed and threw in a free siren. I later got to thinking about it and got worried that I had gotten someone in trouble at Hammond Harley so I stopped by yesterday. As soon as I walked in they told me that my tour pack relocator kit was in and they could change it immedietly. I found out that they had a small communication problem b/n service and parts. Parts had ordered a new one instead of getting one sent over from the other store.

Baton Rouge stayed late for me one Saturday night fixing my bike so that I could ride home. It was just a headlight, but hey I am sure they were just as ready to go home as I was.
Hammond got my Ultra in with no notice even though they had bikes backed out the door just to repair a headset.

I have had problems out of at least 3 harley dealers, I am not that easy to please. I guess it is because I am used to getting my way. I am not a squeaky wheel. I usually just leave in disgust and never go back. But I couldnt be more pleased with these Louisiana Harley dealers. You dont have to be a squeaky wheel, sometimes they are busy, but if wait patiently they will help you. I hope that it is because they are trying to give everyone as good a service as they have given me.
As far as buying is concerned I cant really say. I have only bought one bike from them. I bought from them because of the excellent service they had given in the past, and because I hoped they would continue to give great service. Sometimes it feels good to get more than you expected.

Wow, I am impressed that good customer service is rampant among Harley dealers. My own experiences;

1. Laidlaw Harley Davidson, now of Baldwin Park, CA formerly of Rosemead, Ca. I bought a used '99 Standard from them in August 2001. Excellant price, excellant service and great attitude after the sale. Then we went back and spotted the Pearl White Ultra Classic and my wife said we should buy it. Having just bought the used bike, I was afraid I would be taking a real beating trying to trade it in just then. To make a long story short, we asked them to take back the Standard and we would pay the difference for the new one. They totally backed out the transaction on the Standard, and delivered the Ultra, no questions asked.

2. Skip Fordyce HD, Riverside, CA: Had most of my service done there until we moved to Utah. Steve Robb was the mechanic tech who has worked on my motorcycles for 20+ years, and he always added something to the work he was doing, like a no charge part that he had laying around, or little extra attention to detail that wasn't called for but noticed.

3. Zion HD, Washington, UT. I haven't bought a motorcycle from them but they are always on a first name basis with their customers. Being located near Zion National Park, they get a lot of travelers. I have seen them take the drop in with need for service and drop what they were doing to accomodate the travelers. Alan Blackburn promotes charitable causes at least once a quarter with a poker run with free food, music, and prizes. He is active in the community, and runs a real good operation. The service department is dedicated and experienced. I always get treated like I am the only customer that day.

4. Grand Forks HD, Grand Forks, ND; while traveling they did their utmost to solve my cruise control problem, and while they ultimately didn't solve it, was generous towards me, even loaning me a Vrod to go to lunch.

5. Gaylord HD, Gaylord, MI; Having been contacted by Grand Forks HD for a part for the cruise control, they were waiting for me to show up and install the module. The tech did his own diagnostic first and found that the problem was in the throttle roll off switch, not the control module, saving me a bunch of money for the fix. I was treated first rate there as well.

6. Dayton HD, Dayton, Oh; just dropped by to pick up some cleaning gear and was greeted by the entire staff as they showed up for work, asking about my trip, and forcing me to eat fresh doughnuts.

Everywhere I go I find the same upbeat attitude on the store staff. I don't know what the dealers have been taught but it most certainly pays off in the long run when they are friendly towards local and distant customers alike.

I am lucky to be close to to great dealers.

Gover HD in Piqua, Ohio. Never felt more welcome and appreciated at any delaer than here. Wnet about and beyond on my new bike purchase. Then through in a discount that I did not expect or ask for.!!!

Jim's HD in Mendon, Ohio. Needed steering head checked. The ower, Jim had a tech test it out. No charge! No wait. Always friendly!

Gateway to The West HD in St. Louis. Stopped by one day and the people were fantasatic. Free snacks, great service and did not even know me.

As a side note: Out of all the dealers I have visited the number that I would not go back to is very few. Most realize we as customers are the butter for their bread! Very brand loyal.

Man was I lucky. I had the extreme pleasure of dealing with GC, Mark and Cesar at HD of Atlanta. They gave me some good advice, no pressure and were just all around helpful with the whole process. I live about 5 minutes away from Killer Creek HD in Roswell, GA but felt they did not have my best interest at heart. Hell, I knew more than their so called "chrome consultant".

GC and the fellas were AWESOME!

If you are anywhere near HD of Atlanta, go there and get you a scooter. They know how to treat you right...

They even gave me a T-shirt :D and sold the Scooter for less than MSRP. SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will gladly drive 45 minutes further to hang out, get parts, service and all that comes with the experience...

Cant say enough good things about them...

A very good group of folks...

I just purchased a 2006 Street Glide yesterday at PRECISION HARLEY DAVIDSON, PAWTUCKET RI ***** (5 STARS) - I must say it was the easiest transaction I ever had. I was able to look at all the different models in their "candy store" (what they call it). Everything looked nice!

Anyway, from my sales, finance, and yes, parts already, they were great.

I bought my first bike from Harley Davidson of Naples (Florida), being a cop I walked in and asked for the “specialty bike” guy, I get introduced to Chauncey. A retired cop from up north. He shows me the bikes and asked if I had an idea of what I wanted. We talk it over and I decided on an Ultra Classic. I tell him that I wanted some time to think it over and discuss it with my wife. I got a call once a week from Chauncey asking if things were good, how’s the wife, etc. One week I get a call and he says that we need to make a decision soon so that my bike will arrive in a timely manner, not have to be put off due to the model year changing, and apparently Harley only makes a certain amount of specialty bikes. I tell him that I was sure I wanted the bike I was just a little nervous. He tells me, “lets do the paperwork, when the bike comes in if you don’t want it, we will keep and you owe us nothing.” So I do the deal (glad I did). He tells me it will be 5 months for the bike to be built and be shipped. Now I’m set, I’ve got plenty of time to take the Riders edge course. The bike shows up in 3 months, and I haven’t taken the course. Chauncey gets me into a class, bad enough it was going to sit in my garage until the class was done (wife’s on stipulation to getting the bike was the class). Chauncey politely tells me that he will be more than happy to put the break in miles on the bike for me if I liked. Long story short, class was great (I even worked for them as a “cone setter” on my days off for awhile $200 a weekend for easy work), deal went smoothly, Chauncey was great. The service department was easy to work with being a new guy to riding. I will definitely buy another bike from them.

Funny side note, when you buy a bike and sign the paperwork they ring a big bell and announce it to everyone at the dealership. Well I left training early to sign the papers my wife wasn’t with me. 3 weeks later we go into the dealer and she mentions that she didn’t get to ring the bell. They call over the intercom and announce it as if we just bought it and let her ring it. This dealership is a good bunch of people.

Kudos to the ATL HD. I bought my first HD from GC last July and I too got a good deal and have been treated great by all the guys there. Billy in the parts dept. has gone out of hiss way to help me with accessories and even put me with the techs to make sure I got everything right on my stage 1, which I was doing myself. A few weeks back I stopped by because my wife now wanted a bike and GC wasn't there. I got a price on the bike she wanted from someon else and I thought it was a bit high so I shooed 8 other dealers within about 100 miles got my prices together, then I called GC and told him what I wanted and exactly what I wanted to pay for the bike. Within 15 minutes he called me back and He will have the bike ready for her to pick up on Saturday. So now I have to get bak with Billy in parts to get all her extras started.

This will give you an idea of the class Tampa HD Employees have and why I'm happy I got my bike there.. On December 15, 2005, I finally passed the paperwork for my FXDI. They were scheduled to deliver to my house on December 17th, since I had no one to drop me off to ride it home the round trip is about 70 miles... Well on December 16th I had a routine heart exam scheduled, In 1990 I had two heart attacks, so I have my heart checked yearly, no big deal... I thought... didn't turn out that way though.. They kept me in and gave me a quadrupal bypass... What transpired after on my bike was this, my wife contacted. Lee Krause, my salesman from Tampa HD and explained the situation to him. Since I was scheduled to be operated on he moved my delivery to first thing in the morning, and it arrived just when he said it would, the driver that delivered it was super nice to my son and very concerned about my condition, he put the bike into my garage and my son said he went over everything on the bike including finding sheets and material to cover it up, he knew it would be sitting for awhile and he wanted it to look good for me (I hadn't sat on it or even seen it yet) it was still in the shipping crate when I bought it.. so he wanted it sweet lookin' my son was impressed with his attitude and concern... From the time my wife called Lee until I got out of the hospital..
Lee called no less than half a dozen times... to find out how I was doing, it was very comforting for my family, but, it didn't stop there Lee had two get well cards sent to me signed by everyone at the dealership..... even that, wasn't the end of it... When he found out I was being sent home, he sent a beautiful fruit basket from all of the dealership to my house... While home he called
numerous times... Just checking up on me... When I was finally able to drive my car I rode over there to thank everybody... Lee got me as I walked in and man what a feelin'...everybody there from service to sales and all in between.. greeted me....Never in my life have I ever been treated this way by people who I didn't know or even met me... Now I know what they mean when they say your buying into a family when you buy a Harley.... As my wife said to Lee and Tampa HD... one of the things that helped me pull through this whole thing, was knowing I had my Harley waiting for me... So if anybody in the Tampa Bay area or anywhere for that matter, wants to deal with some really super people for a great bike or accessories go to Tampa HD....

(I started riding my bike as soon as I got the ok from my doctor and have about 600+ miles and smiles)... See You Out There... WgSkee

Last month I went looking for 2 bikes. 1 for me and 1 for the wife. 1st stop..Racine Harley. Salesman took the time to go over all the used bikes with me. I told him I didnt know a thing about Harleys so he took his time and explained alot of things to me. I had my eye on a 05 EG they had. He then tells me about a 06 Sportster that was coming in later that day with 45 miles on it. (Sad story there..husband and wife purchased and she found out right after she had cancer so the bike got traded back in on a touring model so they could ride together) He told me what they would want for it and told me he would call as soon as it arrived.

2nd stop..Ukes in Kenosha. Was not to impressed with the salesman. After looking at the used bikes I looked at the new ones. Then the salesman pressure talk started..(thats one thing I cannot stand) so out the door I went.

3rd stop.. Hals Harley in Milwaukee. Salesman was nice enough. I then asked why the used bikes were only $300 cheaper than a new one. He said that yeah the stickers on the used ones were high and they would have to adjust them. My azz. I highly doubt that happened after I left.

Called the wife and told her to meet me at Racine Harley after work. Salesman had the wife sit on the same kind of bike that was due in. Wife said it felt good and the salesman answered all her questions. I asked what his best deal on the 05 EG and 06 Sportster would be if I took both. He came back with a price that was more than fair. We put a deposit down and filled out the financing paperwork. 2hrs later her bike was in and we got the call. We looked at it and it was exactly what the salesman had described. The next day we finalized the paperwork and took the bikes home. Everytime we go in there now the same salesman always stops and says hi to us using our first names. It is that kind of attention to detail that will keep me going back there.

Sales ladies were really helpful. I was looking for some sunglasses and they had me try on a bunch of different pairs until I had a pair that fit perfectly. No pressure at all on what kind to buy. They just made sure I was satisfied with my purchase.

Parts guys were extremely helpful in helping me pick out the pipes I wanted for my bike. They also helped out the wife with her pipes when she went in by herself to pick them out. Sold her just what she needed. No pressure to buy extras.

Service dept is great. I made an appointment for a remap (no time specified..just the day) I took it in and was out again in 20 minutes.

I had an old problem re-occur today. I have an 06 FXDCI and here in Australia because we don't have the O2 sensor in the exhuast theres a bolt that is used as a plug instead. Both front and rear bolts have come loose and fallen out in the past. Today on the way home the rear bolt fell out again. bloody annoying and the bike only just runs with it that way. The exhaust was too hot to wind it back in by hand and I know it would come out again anyway. So I chucked the hot bolt in my bag and headed straight to the nearest dealer.

It was just on closing time and just as I walked in teh Mechanic was heading out to his car to knock off. He said g'day and not knowing him, I asked him if he was the mechanic. He said yeah and I asked if he could help me. To cut a long story short he fixed the problem and spent a good half hour chatting about some other stuff (Stage 1 download issues). He finished with "If there's anything we can help you with just give me a call."

Robbo's Harley Davidson in Canberra, Australia is not the dealer that I bought the bike from, yet Pete the Mechanic there was one of the most heplful people I've come across. It is so nice to have a person who goes out of their way to help you out and understands what real customer service is. Ill be making my purchases from them in future and recommending them to my friends as well.

Thumper,

RRHD sold me a new Street Glide last Monday. Sounds like we're cousins (Sort-of).

I worked with Charlie and Harry and of course Royce back in the finance area. You are right, a great bunch of guys. I met Harry's wife and the other ladies in the apparel area and I can't say enough about the parts and accessories people . . . very helpful.

I would definitly send a friend out to see the good people at Red River.

Did you ride with the HOG chapter today? I wanted to, but was out of town with my son.

Rocket HD in Huntsville, AL has been great so far. They can sometimes start out a bit steep on pricing but if you know what you want and what is on the market they will deal with the best of them. Service is prompt and came in right on the estimate. Bike was ready and washed when promised. Nice to have folks that take the time to greet you when you drop in. Good bunch of folks in the HOG chapter.

Two dealers stand out in my mind. Chick's in Albuquerque got new rubber on my bike and did an oil change in half a day. I was on the road from Detroit and they take care of travelers. The other dealer that treated me good was in Coos Bay, Oregon. I pulled in just before closing to make an appointment to get my oil changed the next morning. Service Manager said pull it in and we'll do it now. Checked my primary chain for me while they were at it. Plus they filled me in on the feeding habits of the state troopers. Seems they don't have the taxes that most states have so they make it up with ticket fines. $350 for "following too close." Anyhow, hats off to Chick's and Coos Bay Harley dealers.

Chattahoochee Harley Davidson in Columbus, Ga. 5 BIG Stars. Here is the story:

I ordered a street glide through AAFES in Iraq. After two weeks, I still hadn't heard from them concerning my confirmation. Two weeks and about 10 e-mails later, they sadly informed me that they FORGOT to place my order. They told me that since their allotment of Street Glides for the year was taken, they would gladly order me another bike. I said no. I also found out that if you order a bike over here, it is handled through a dealer in Dubai, UAE. The profits don't even go to the stateside dealers, yet they are the ones that get your bike, take it out of the crate and prep it for you. AAFES will not let local dealers charge for this service, which is cool, if the money was going to Americans in the first place.
I contacted Michael Roberts, the General manager at Chattahoochee via e mail. He got all of my information, approved my credit and promised me the bike all over the internet. My wife went down and put a good faith deposit on the bike. He personally took my wife and son and showed the actual bike I was purchasing to them. He then had the bike put in the back for me.
When I got home, I went to Chattahoochee the next morning. Lori, the finance lady, came in on her DAY OFF to do the paperwork for me. I ended up giving her my Kuwait HD t-shirt because she was so nice. She gave me a Chattahoochee one so that I didnt have to ride half naked in the cold. They installed the short seat for me while I waited, and I rode off on a newly washed and waxed bike with a full gas tank.
It doesnt stop there. I had some aftermarket parts put on, and because the service department knew I was only home for a short while, they had me bring the bike in late in the afternoon and had the bike back to me the next morning. I didn't ask, but I am sure someone in the service dept stayed over to work on my bike. I should have asked.
Jackie in the service dept noticed that the faceplate was cracked on my radio and told me that it would be repaired under warranty. She suggested that I bring the bike in when I was going back to Iraq and they would replace it. I asked her about a battery buddy, the GM, Michael, was standing there. He said that I should have had one already. I don't know if that was a special I didn't know about or what. Next, I asked about a backrest. He noticed that a rear docking station wasn't on the bike and told me that I could wait until I got back to get the backrest, but he would go ahead and have a docking staion installed for me at no charge. Once again, I don't know if this was something that was supposed to already be there or not. Even if it should have already been there, it would have been very easy for them to sell these items to me and make some extra cash, but they didn't.
Anyway, I dropped my bike off on the morning I was flying out. They installed some more aftermarket parts, fixed the radio, gave me the battery buddy, and installed the docking station. My wife went to pay the bill and it was less than 60 dollars.
When I looked at the financing, I paid the same as I would have for the bike through AAFES. What I would have saved in taxes would have been eaten up by add-on fees that were charged for processing the transaction through the dealer in Dubai.
They have a customer for life and a spokesman whenever they need one.

Another shop that deserves recognition is Mt. Cheaha HD near Anniston, AL. I was riding in the area and had something work loose on the exhaust. I stopped in. They put my bike in their shop, fixed the problem, didn't charge me a dime, washed and waxed my bike and filled my tank. I asked them how much. They said "No charge". All of this was done while I walked to a restaurant and ate lunch.

There are still good folks out there.

Signature Harley Davidson in Perrysburg, Ohio a suburb of Toledo, OH.
I bought my bike there last month. I went about three times, pricing bikes, working on financing, taking different test rides till I found the one I liked. Very patient, very nice guys. When I bought my 03 Fatboy I asked for new plugs, no problem, a detail, no problem, missing manual, ordered new one, no keyfob, we will get that too for you. Awesome guys that went out of their way to satisfy me. Can't say enough good things about them. Prices on scooters were good, MSRP.

Over the past ten years you could say I have become less and less of a HD dealer fan. Sure I go there when the time comes for a new bike, or a need a factory part, but otherwise I would try to go to the local private owned shops. Why...it seems as most of the dealers, including Orange County HD, Irvine, CA (my local dealer) had changed from Harley dealers geared around the bikers, to more of what looked like a Mercedes Benz dealership. The stores and personnel became a little to uppity catering to yuppies only and didn't even really want bikers hanging out in the parking lot. How many of us have called our local dealer to get our bike serviced and get an inconvenient appointment 3 weeks away...for an OIL CHANGE! Hell, the way I ride, that's almost the next oil change.

Well that recently changed at the local Orange County (CA) Harley Davidson Dealership. A new GM took over just a couple of months ago and WOW, you can already see the changes. This guy (Justin) loves to ride. You can tell he probably always dreamed of running an HD dealership. He participates heavily with the local HOG Chapter and will chat with any customer in the store. In just the first two months he has extended the service hours, so when you need service, you can get service. Imagine a dealer with service 7 days a week from 7 to 7. Justine is already working on events to bring the bikers back to hanging around in front of the store, HE LIKES US!!!

Hats off to Justine and Orange County Harley Davidson in Irvine, CA

I didn't buy a bike there, but Mile High High Harley in Denver Colorado really impressed me while I was there visiting my daughter last Thanksgiving. Very professional and friendly to me and my daughter.

My daughter works at GUNSLINGER's, which is a custom paint contractor for Harley Davidson.

Rick, the owner of Vandervest HD helped me out with my salvage bike inspection by borrowing me a set of stock pipes. Free of charge, no return date, and a great guy to deal with. I'd also like to thank Doc's HD for digging a clutch lever out of the bin to replace the one I tried to "unbend" and snapped it off. Note to self: Levers only bend once if you try to unbend them they break!

Anyone have good recommendations for service in the Washington, DC area?

Please don't say Patriot H-D (I've been to over 8 dealerships/repair shops in five states and they gave the worst experience anywhere).

I will have to give 2 big thums up to C&S Harley Davidson in Nashville, Tn. Found out that they are a no fees dealer from there website. So the wife and I rode down on the 10th to check them out, to see if the real deal. Yes they are, I bought a new Electra Glide Standard from them.
They had the bike I wanted in stock, matter of fact just got it in and uncrated. We got there too late in the day to have it ready to ride home. Scheduled to pick up on the 17th.
Every thing was on the up and up from the get go. These guys are awesome. I am glad that I found a great place to purchase my first Harley from.

I'm VERY pleased with my transaction with Orange County H-D, Irvine Ca. Their a MSRP dealer (hard to come by here in So-Cali). Sales staff tries hard to please, Service Department top notch, they got me riding the next day, after I waited 6 weeks for my paint job. Everyone I worked with were GREAT and remember me when I came back for my ride, my Salesman (walked me thru the bike again), Service Manager called me w/ current up dates, the Parts Counter & Finance person reconized me after meeting them 6 weeks prior.

Pleasureable Experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

Thanks
Orange County. HD
Irvine, Ca

PS, I'll give alloclades to Skip Fordyce, Riverside, Ca. I had my deposit with them on the same bike (Not MSRP Dealer), no problem with the return on my depo, (I asked for store credit, then spent the $500 with them). Boots Muir in sales, very pleasureable to work with, gave me time of day even after I pulled my depo. He still wants to see my ride custom paint ride.

VERY HAPPY WITH SMOKEY MOUNTAIN HARLEY DAVIDSON IN MARYVILLE TN. IN THE MIDDLE OF A 2500 MILE TRIP MY RIGHT SPEAKER QUIT. I STOPPED AT BUMPUS HARLEY DAVIDSON IN MURPHREESBORO TN AND THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD HAVE TO ORDER A NEW RADIO.
WHEN I STOPPED IN MARYVILLE THEY SWAPPED OUT THE BAD SPEAKER WITH ONE FROM A CRASHED BIKE (THEY DIDNT HAVE NEW ONES IN STOCK) I WAS BACK ON THE ROAD IN A HALF AN HOUR WITH MUSIC. THANKS A LOT

El Cajon Harley Davidson east of San Diego, CA. Honest, low key sales, easy going and always the best price in town. Got a technical question or doing something on your bike and need advice, you are always welcome to talk with a mechanic. El Cajon Harley is not a mega dealship you get lost in, they will try to know you and call you by name. treat them with respect and you get it back with interest.

Harley Davidson of Tuscon. Had a problem with my old sportster while touring Central Arizona. Called them late in the afternoon and they promised to put me on the top of the next day service list if I
