Tell us the good dealers out there that give good overall customer service...

Include their location too...

Maybe even rate them on a 5 star rating with 5 stars (*****) being the best it can get.

New River H-D Jacksonville, NC. Not a lot of whopping discounts, but they definitely stand behind what they sell, no questions asked.

Shumate HD in Kennewick, Wash. They have been very friendly and helpful whenever I went there. This last summer when a mistake was made when they were putting some new apes on my Springer, they paid in full for the whole thing, even for the free pickup and delivery when they had to reorder and redo the apes. They even paid for my motel room when I had to stay overnite. Since I've had no complaints with them, I give them 5 stars.

Racine Harley Davidson in Wisconsin. ****+++ Great Dealer, like family. The only thing preventing them from being 5 stars is inventory (bikes, parts, and accessories is small). They are a small dealer unlike some of the other huge dealers that don't know their customers personally. The big dealers seem to be cold and characterless. This dealer is like the Cheers bar, hey Norm! I walk in and ever knows me and I don't think it is because I spend alot of money there, they do it with everyone. I don't know everyone's experiences but for example their open house, beer and food is free. All of the other local dealers charge an arm and a leg for a beer. Seems to be a big money maker for them instead of customer appreciation.

For service Al Muth Harley Davidson in Black River Falls WI ***** stars. Good price and good service. Love it when you go some place you have been a couple of times and they remember your name. Can't say the same about the dealer I bought my bike from even though I have been there as many times. Never bought a bike from them but assume it is the same.

Jim's Harley Davidson. Mendon, Ohio. Been there since 1967. Owner still turns the wrenches and his wife sells the bikes. Great selection of bikes and parts. On site museum too ! If you need a part for a classic Harley, Jim either has it or fabricates his own. Great place. Been doing business with them for years. 5 stars. *****

Legacy Harley Davidson-Effingham,IL and Gutterridge Harley Davidson-Danville, IL.

Legacy is my home dealer and almost brand new. Three of the friendliest guys own it and I get along with them like family. They go out of their way to treat me good because they know that I know alot of people and I always support them. Great staff and beutiful new building.

Gutterridge is my 2nd home. They have a dyno and some really good techs. They do all my major work. They treat me like family too.

It's great to have a couple of dealers I can trusy. Neither is interested in ripping me off and usually give me a decent break.

I've had some bad dealer experiences but that is for the other thread.

Terry

McDermott's in Fort Ann, NY story too long to tell but a 5 out of 5 would be short changing them.

Mcguire in Walnut Creek, CA.

Made me feel like family. No good discounts, but nobody can beat web prices anyhow.

Parts guys have spent a lot of time with me helping me to plan and not make 'bad' purchases. Even the owner makes a point to say Hi to everyone.

They know me, and my name. Even if I can't remember most of theirs. They have my business as long as I am living within a reasonable distance of them.

I have nothing but good things to say about Dillon Brothers Harley-Davidson in Omaha, NE. I bought my 2006 XL 1200C Custom Sportster from them. The sales, service and parts staff are outstanding. I highly recommend them to anyone in the Omaha area looking to buy a Harley or have their bike worked on. They are located at 174th & Maple. Their phone number is: (402) 289-5556

Gator Harley in Leesburg fl. is where I bought my new04 fatboy. no hassles, just great service, and a good price very fair.

before gator, went to the dealer 5 miles from my house, they could not touch Gator's price, and they acted like it was a favor to sell me a bike.

Ditto for Legacy. They're very friendly and down to earth. They know everyone by name, and go out of their way to treat anyone like family. And a great building and nice big grassy lot out back with big trees, old barn and firepit, with lots of events.

Las Vegas Harley (on Eastern) ... a few months back, not sure they would have made the list ...

Bought my 1st ever Harley in Dec ... had a problem with the fork lock ... couldn't be fixed ... they replaced the bike the next week and I got some extra goodies. Sales manager (Mark) had asked me to trust him, not sure I did, but do now! They did me right.

Service guy, Rudy (spelling?), was fabulous, made me feel like a long-time customer ... knows his stuff, showed me around the shop and doesn't hard sell service.

Apparel, Jodi is the best ... has even asked my wife and I on group rides with more experience riders ... I would never work with anyone else ...

All in all they rate a 5 in my book ...

I gotta say that AlamoCity Harley, in San Antonio, has really been good to me. After the first time I walked into the place, I'm greeted by name by most of the service folks, who are all very friendly and outgoing...MOST of the moto sales people are as well. I've not seen anything that puts me off from these guys so far and I've been going since about a year before the re-modeling job...Ok...Plus the girls aren't bad to look at, either. :p

Frederick HD is the best I've dealt with. Knowledgeable parts people and excellent techs. I bought my RK from them and they've done all the engine work on it. They have their own machine shop and dyno. Newly renovated building is very nice. Went to a Performance Workshop there in December. It was held in the machine shop. Impressive array of equipment. Next month, I'm having them install gear driven S&S Cams. All work done by them is covered under the terms of your HD warranty (extended warranties included). *****

HD Store on Pulaski Hwy. in Baltimore has very good people, but I've never had any work done there. ***

Rockville HD has good people and good techs. I bought my Low Rider and Electra Glide Classic from them. ****

Really good service people at ROUTE 66 MOTORSPORTS in Kingman, AZ. I have not purchased a bike from them, but hear that they will deal and want you to be totally satisfied with the deal. I ride 80 miles to have my H-Ds serviced by them when I could go 6 miles to a local dealer that I won't go back to. www.motherroadhd.com ........... BC

My dealer, Liberty HD in Rahway NJ has treated me very fair. Bought my bike for list, as they sell all 06's for sticker. They give a 10% discount on parts and clothing if you buy your bike there. Seems everyone in the dealership knows my name now.

If and when I buy another new HD, it will be from them
