Do most choppers Big Dog, AIH and so forth have a lot of vibration? I know many builders use the S&S motors and its basically a Evo clone. Are the rubber mounted on some bikes or what.

I know many builders use the S&S motors and its basically a Evo clone. Are the rubber mounted on some bikes or what. Jim pjb 10-15-2007, 07:57 AM I have an 05 AIH LSC, and an 85 FXWG. I had an 04 AIH Texas Chopper for 3 years. None of them are rubber mounted. None have excessive vibration. The 2 choppers ride as nice as the Harley (well the LSC does occassionaly remind you that it is a rigid ;)). dog155 10-15-2007, 09:00 AM Funny how the vibration thing keeps popping up.Vtwinsare supposed to vibrate just by the nature of the way they are built.I for one love it.If the vibration is more than it should be, it should looked into asap.Have heard the internal balanced motors are a lot smoother. mulch63 10-15-2007, 12:18 PM Well I rode a guys Proper Chopper and the mirros shook and i couldn't keep my feet on the pegs. I know he didn't have dampners on the bars and also the controls were Accutronics with no rubber and felt slippy. It had a S&S 113. Jim pjb 10-15-2007, 12:49 PM I had poly bushings on my Harley's handle bars and had no problems. I switched to some new bars, still using the poly bushings, and I could barely hold on to the thing. Switched to rubber bushings and it is fine. I guess some bars transfer vibration more then others. I've owned 2 AIH choppers, and rode several others. None had vibration issues. If you're trying to compare them to an Ultra Classic which do you think is going to be more comfortable? Doesn't mean the choppers are bad, maybe just not right for you. Like the people who bad mouth sports cars firm ride because they like Cadillacs. mulch63 10-16-2007, 10:11 PM I was just concerned that there was excess vibration. millzog 10-17-2007, 02:37 AM I hear that the chic`s like that extra vibration .............[8D] NotHere 04-25-2008, 02:55 AM I've never heard of any big incher that didn't have its fair share of vibes... comes with the territory!
