I have a 2007 Streetbob. My last bike was a 97 sporty 1200. I'm new to the whole EFI stuff. Is there any way to adjust the idle? The new EFI motor idles just a little to fast for my likeing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way, no mods, just a stock bike.
I think that injected models idle is always faster than carburated ones, so that if you had an sporty before, I think you won't be able to have the potato potato sound you had with this one. In other way, I suppose that the idle could be lowed a bit, but as my bike is carburated, really don't know how to do this.
The dealer can lower it a bit with the digital tech but don't try to adjust the set screw in the throttle body. It's sealed to begin with for a good reason. It will throw off the TPS settings and that will effect the enitre system. The higher idle will keep the battery up with the addition of the electric fuel pump used and the other sensors not needed in the carbed bikes.

No do not adjust your idle if it is above 900-1050 then take it back to the dealer it is in warranty when warm prefered idle is around 1000 much lower than that you wont get proper oiling the efi just dont sound as good as a carb.
I agree. I set mine at 848 rpm with a sert. Perfect.
