They did it again. Eagles gave them a good run for their money, but Pat's pulled through when they had to.

They did a good job coivering Moss last night. That offensive pass interference call was such bull.

Wwhheewww...close one! Dodged a bullet there! Thank God Philly doesn't know how to run the clock out in the final minutes of a game! LOL!

Ok,
11 Down...5 more to go!
Next up...Baltimore

Oh, and 10 more TD passes to go until Manning's record is broken!

GO PATS!!!

That offensive pass interference call was such bull.

Almost as much bull as Gaffney making that TD catch in the back of the endzone INBOUNDS.

The Gaffney catch was admittedly close and questionable.  Why wasn't it challenged?

The offensive interference call was over officiating in my opinion. I know everone has one.. that's mine.

Is it me or do the Pats not look as sharp as they were early in the season?  They seemed to have trouble with Philly and Baltimore which are two of the worst teams in the NFL.  The ravens very bad offense out gained the Pats by about 50 yards.  Dont get me wrong a win is a win.  I wonder if the pats peaked too early in the season.  I will be interested to see the game against Pit.  I think this could be another close game.

A Pats win is almost like the Superbowl for every team. All the teams are balls-to-the-wall to beat them, the coaches all stay up nights looking for a way to beat them. and they're all good teams. The Pats aren't perfect, they're human and fallible. On every given day with 2 pro teams anything can happen.

Kinda' like the Red-Sox, ...on any given day they're capable of sucking big time, even when they are the best team in baseball.

I hope someone saw the game against the Ravens. You can't beat winning in the last 47 seconds of a game. I do admit that the Ravens did put up a great fight till the last second, with the 60 yard pass to the 3 yard line. I'm so proud of my team...GO PATS!

I saw it.  I also saw Brady get sacked for a two yard loss on 4th and 1 that would have ended the game and gave the Pats their first loss.  Luckly the raven coach called a time out just as the play was ran.

Anyone wants to take a stab at the score against the Jets next week...  At least 50 points by the Pats, and Brady will break the TD record...

I use to have great respect for the Pats even though I am not a Pat supporter. They have lots of talent on both sides of the ball and play great team football. However this years performance, and I point the finger at the coach mostly has made me lose all respect for the team.

First the cheating, not only did they get caught cheating again, they were warned before the season started not to do it again. I know the Pats fans say everyone does it, but do they? What other team has been caught red handed in modern football history? Next you say what difference does it make? With the narrow margin of past victories the Pats normally have, knowing just one defensive coverage assignment before the play could change the whole outcome of a game.

Secondly running up the score on other teams. That shows little respect for your opponent. Playing your first string players including the QB in the 4th quarter with a 35 point lead is simply stupid by any accord. Calling plays that are designed to go out of bounds and stop the clock so you can have time to pad your lead does nothing but feed resentment in the opposing players. One missed blocking assignment and you could lose your QB for the year due to an enraged defensive player.

I have a feeling the Pat coach's actions will come back to bite him before all is said and done. Not sure whether he is trying to show the world he is so good that he can win even without cheating or what, but his decisions will be the undoing of the Pats this year in my opinion. We will see his actions against the 1-13 Dolphins next week, will he sit his star players most of the game to minimise the risk of injury leading into the playoffs, or will he continue his ways and show us how many points they can score against an inferior team?

Pat's fan get ready for a disappointing season. You need a man for a coach, not an upset child.

A man in Topeka , Kansas decided to write a book about Churches located around the country. He started by flying to San Francisco and started working east from there.

Going to a very large church, he began taking photographs and making notes. He spotted a golden telephone on the vestibule wall and was intrigued with a sign, which read: "Calls are $10,000 a minute."

Seeking out the pastor he asked about the phone and the sign. The pastor answered that this golden phone is, in fact, a direct line to heaven and if he pays the price he can talk directly to God.

The man thanked the pastor and continued on his way. As he continued to visit churches in Seattle , Dallas, St. Louis, Chicago, Milwaukee, and around the United States, he found more phones, with the same sign, and the same answer from each pastor.

Finally, he arrived in Massachusetts. Upon entering a church in Boston, MA, Behold - he saw the usual golden telephone. But This time, the sign read:
"Calls are 35 cents."

Fascinated, he asked to talk to the pastor, "Reverend, I have been in cities all across the country and in each church I have found this golden telephone and have been told it is a direct line to Heaven and that I could talk to God, but in the other churches the cost was $10,000 a minute. Your sign read s only 35 cents a call. Why?"

The pastor, smiling benignly, replied, "Son, you're in Boston, Massachusetts, home of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
You're in God's Country now, It's a local call."

BEGINNING OF RANT

WTF is it with all these asterisks? There ain't no one putting an asterisk any where except the NY Post and no one with half a brain reads that rag anyways! Putting an asterisk next to anything about the Patriots this season will only signify the best team EVER!

About the cheating: since they weren't accessing the taping during the game, it is beyond me why it is ok to tape from the upper decks or end zone and not the side lines - any good cell phone or walkie talkie and a good set of binoculars has the same result. And they all have scouts all over the place, so yeah, they all do it. So Bellicheck misinterpreted the rules in the first game of the season. And it wasn't just him that supposedly was 'warned', it was more like it was hidden away in a briefing to 'inform' all teams of a change that had been ok in previous years that now wasn't.

And Bellicheck didn't bitch or moan or complain, he just handed over the tapes and met all other NFL requests, and paid the fine. And there was NO EVIDENCE that any game was ever effected, and don't think they didn't investigate fully. Just 'cuz the NFL the next week caved to all the bitching of other teams and sportswriters/critics, who have never played a down in their life, to come up with the sanctions just tells me it's all a bunch of political crap. And who turned Bellicheck in after the game? His ex assistant sour grape - now head coach - that was class! He could've just as easily brought it to the attention of the refs during the game and had it stopped and penalized the Pats then and there. But he didn't - what's with that? And then he went and cheated himself - yeah, just wait for the end of the season when the sh*t hits the NY fan(s), but it'll probably get reported on page 59 in small print since it's NY!

What a bunch of pissant poor losers on this forum (with a few class act non-Pats fan exceptions). And complaining about running the score up makes NO sense - it's up to the opposing team to stop the scoring. If they can't, then so be it. If that made any sense the NFL would have a rule like if a team was leading by like 35 points in the 3rd quarter they'd call the game. No sense to that. If a team stopped using their first string every time they got a decent lead, they might never know what it took to play full out all 60 minutes - and didn't that experience come in handy in a few games later in the season for the Patriots to have players that could go all out for 60 minutes? That was a lesson they learned last year against the Colts in the Playoffs. If it was little league, well ok I'd agree, but this is professional sports - they are paid big bucks to play and play the whole game unless their wimpy coach wants to take 'em out to 'protect' them or 'rest' them like the Colts did last night - what a bunch of wussies! As Bill Parcells said 'There aren't any meaningless games that we play in."

END OF RANT.
Have a Happy New Year Everyone!
