It was like the Pats offensive line must have started partying earlier that day and didn't realize the actually HAD to play the game. Giants were penetrating that line at will. It was a poor outing for the Pats. Saying that is not to take away from the Giants, they played their asses off on both offense and defense. When Manning came back and made that 35 yard pass in the last minutes it was over. Pat's defensive backfield must have been partying with the offensive line. Football history, that's for sure.

Yep.. we're not a lot of happy campers here in New England. Congrats to the Giants, they were the better team tonight. Pats just couldn't do what they been doing all year long, protect Brady and give him time to throw the ball. Ditto on the defense, Giant's played well and the Pats gave them lots of yards that all season long they denied any other team. So, Congrats NY Giants. Just go to show, the Pats were human after all. Yup...gotta give the Giants credit, they played an incredible game & we didn't. Still can't figure out how Manning avoided that 3rd & 5 sack before completing that 32 yrd pass???!!! That was the killer right there! Well, as they say "any given Sunday" I guess, right? Congrats Giants...you deserved it.

And THAT is why they play the game... Hey FXDC - If you had to choose, would you rather have... A - The perfect 16 - 0 season with the new benchmark in history and lose the big game OR B - Win the super bowl but in a few years, not many will remember who won SB XLII

The sentence doesn't make any sense? You ALWAYS want the ring at the end of the season, whether your 18-0 or 8-8! What we did this year was still special though, even it if didn't end the way we wanted it to. I can think of 30 other teams who wished they were still playing this past Sunday!

You're right, the ring is always what they strive for come the start of the season. But an undefeated (regular) season??? That has only happened 1 other time. The SB has been won 41 other times. N.E. is half of an elite group of 2. Having an undefeated season... I believe that task is a little more un-obtainable than winning the big game.
