Can anyone suggest a way to get baked on Wax of the Black part of the engine after it has had a chance to bake on. I just noticed it today after I got home from a ride to late to wipe off, any help would be appreciated!
Peanut butter gets that white haze off. Read about it on a VW detailing forum couple of years ago. Tryed it on the molding/trim on my truck and it works. Might have to rub it around with a tooth brush.
Water Displacement Formula #40. What won't it do? Takes road tar off like a pro, removes baked on bug juice and wax. Originally designed to lift water from electrical contacts and circuit boards. This would make a good thread of it's own.
Just wanted to say that I used a product called "ICE" on the bikes a while back. It's a new poly blend wax that dries clear. No white residue. It did exactly what it said it would do and left a really nice shine. Takes a while longer for it to dry than the label says but it does buff out very easy.
I tested it on a few hidden places first even put a little on the bottom of the seat. No more white on leather, rubber, or black motor finish. Works on chrome as well.
Great tips! I'll be trying the WD40 method today. Dealer had wax all over the black places. Didn't notice it so much until the shiny black wore off.
I use the Turtle Wax ICE as well. Very happy with this product.
I use it for the paint, chrome, etc.. and have no problems with white chalk leftover. Nice product for the in between touch ups.

Trust me this works great you will end up doing more then just the spots
