First they came for the algebra books, and I said nothing for I HATE algebra.

Then they came for the trashy romance novels, and I said nothing for I don't read romance novels.

Then they came for the porn ...

This one has a lot of emotional meaning and although it's pretty deep I think everyone can understand it.

This one was meant to motivate people into visiting a business but it also affected a different group of people and was soon adopted as a war cry for thousands upon thousands of illegal immigrants.

If you knew you had only an hour to live, how would you spend it, and what are you waiting for? 'cause there's no guarantee you'll be here in 61 minutes.

I don't know that I have a favorite.  I like lots of them and I'm fond of this one.  "A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and goes to bed at night and in between does what he wants to do."

We should all be so lucky.

That which does not kill you makes you stronger  -  Goethe

That's my all time favorite...it's also the opening to my all time favorite Movie and personal hero lol...Conan the Barbarian!  but it was Friedrich Nietzsche not Goethe.  I think most famous quotes dealing with war, buisness, sports, etc. all derive from that simple statement....

Here's one that applies to just about everything and it's by a friend of mine..."If your gonna be stupid, you better be tough!"...he rides mostly sport bikes and likes to see just how fast he can take some of the local backroads and highways...and this brings me to I'm sure the famous last words of many a daredevil...."Hey watch this...Oh Shi%!"  I picture someone like JFK'jr...as he was flying to Martha's Vineyard..."hey watch this...as he tries doing a barrel roll or flip...and then as the plane falls from the sky..."ohhhh ssshhhiii....."

"Oh Shi%" should be the all time, hand's down winner of the Most Meaningful Quotes List....I bet when the first man picked up a stick and poked a bear or hornet's nest...he was probably saying something very much like those simple two words....and then if he lived we're back to Nietzsche.
