I found out I still need to get the xm module which is an additional $500 item. I'm gonna wait on that at this time. I am having my front end changed out to chrome and lowered 1" Pipes are next D&D Fat Cats quite Baffels.

ORIGINAL: coyoties I was told by someone, don't remember who, that Sirrus and XM were joining forces and everyone would have to buy new module to receive, so i'm waiting? That's a bunch of crap. Both XM and Sirius receivers should work when they merge.

I understood that although they merged, the units cannot become interchangeable or even compatible. This would give the satellite company a monopoly such as Microsoft tried, and congress wouldn't allow the merger. I installed the kit on my fltr. I had to get the overlay harness from the ultra and that was it. Plug n play. I see there is an XM only overlay harness that is smaller and cheaper, but it was not stocked at the dealer and I didnt want to wait.
