What happened to Serra?...always liked St Pierre since the first time i saw him...really an awesome fighter and seems like a nice guy....like to see Chuck get a win but Silva is one badass dude......nice to see another fan on here...every time I posted about UFC a bunch of idiots and pansies replied a bunch of nonsense...:>

I think he has a herniated disc in his back. It's kind of
to bad they didn't fight. I was kind of looking forward
to see the fight after following the ultimate fighter series
on tv. Although I think he would have lost against Hughes.
I think that Hughes made a HUGE mistake last time trying to make it a stand-up fight with GSP. I saw Hughes saying recently that his boxing coach (or what-not) said his stand-up game has vastly improved. For his sake, I hope he doesn't think that stradegy is worth a second try. I also don't know if it's my imagination, but does it look like Hughes has lost some size? To me, Serra looked way bigger on TUF show.
Great fights last night. Hughes got schooled by GSP. I agree about the slap in the face to Dana and his belt, but agree with GSP's thinking. How'd you like that head smashing move by GSP where he would smash Hughes' head between his body and the mat. Never seen that before.
As far as Iceman and Silva, Silva just couldn't really get anything going. To little reach or something. 3 straight losses for him now. He could be done.
That Brazilian kicked the crap out of the South African Assassin. Didn't expect that. Prettygood card overall though.
I have always liked Hughs but his glory days are over..GSP really man-handled him and I hope he does the same to Sera....Nice to see the Ice man back in fine form....I may be wrong but I just dont see Jackson having the dicipline to keep his training up to what will be needed to keep the belt......overall UFC 79 was one of the best events in a long time...:>
