Default RE: metzler tires

Just bought a set for my RK. We ride 2-up a lot and so I had the same concerns as you prior to making my purchase. After reading just about every post regarding the Metz's (the "search" function is your friend)...the only real concern is making sure you keep proper tire inflation. Of which, is more than the standard Dunlops. I run 38 in the front and 40 in the rear. Low tire pressures (from what I have researched) are/were the leading reason for side wall issues. Just keep the recommended pressures where they should be and you will love them. I do...and would recommend them to anyone looking to buy new tires.

Just put 2 metzlers (made in Brazil) on mine about 3000 miles ago and really like'em with no problems. I run 46 in the rear and 40 in front. Mostly solo.

I've always run 880's on my bikes, and as soon as the stock Dunlops are gone on my '07, she will also get a new pair of Metzeler shoes[sm=smiley20.gif] as well !!

Where's the cheapest place to purchase ME880s? I found a nail in my H-D Dunlop, so that will be my excuse to get a Metzler. Another question - on my Dyna rear tire, should I switch from a 160 to 170?

No more Metz for me. First tire I ever had a blowout on in 50 yrs of riding. Less than 8000. I think they were a good tire before having them made in Brazil. Good luck.
