Big Howdy From San Antonio,

Just got an 07 Superglide Custom, I love it, used but only 300 miles on it and bone stock. I've been adding some things and this weekend I put 4 1/2 inch pull back risers on it with drag bars. I'm having trouble keeping the brake line and turn signals from hitting the tank at full turn. What am I doing wrong?

you need atleast a 6 inch rise man look at my sig pic......... i think 6 inch is the lowest you can go......

I took off the front signals all together with my FXD and same risers. Had to use a line bender for the brake line to clear also.

I picked up some super glide custom bars for my fxdb....love them.

Thanks to all, if I'm reading you right, there is NO solution for the turn signals outside of removal or buying something different and going through all the pain of rewiring. Hmmmm, maybe I should have settled for a set of lowrider bars, not quite as "snazzy" as I wanted but not such an issue.

The six inch rise is too dramatic for what I want to achieve with this bike but it makes good sense. I've thought about straight risers but being a vertically challenged guy with arms that stop at my elbows....

I bought this bike in Longview Texas from Terry at TDC Auto (which is misleading because he sells late model H-Ds). I got it out the door for $11,800. The bike is PERFECT and only had 300 miles. I'm thinking I saved about $2K over a new one.

Trying to send a picture of the bike stock. Since this picture was taken I've added V&H Big Shot Staggered pipes, K&N's RK3909 Hi Flow Filter Kit, V&H Fuelpak and a Badlander seat. You can figure I'm building an "around-town" toy for fat old guys like me to look good on! [8D]

relocate the turn signals to the forks, hd sells a kit for this.

If you have to leave the turn signals on the bars, Harley has this kit that moves the lights up and out. 68266-03



Harley and Kuryakyn both have kits to move the turn signals to the forks. As for the brake line, best way is to buy a Goodridge universal line and 90° banjo fittings for both the master cylinder end and caliper end. The 90° fitting at the master cylinder end will keep the brake line parallel to the bars until it bends down close to the steering neck.

Good advice guys, I found the H-D relocation kit today and I was thinking a braided brake line versus the tubing might be a solution as well. Big Thanks!
