kirk Hebstreit ran LSU down all year, yet now he's saying they deserved a shot at the title because they won the conference championship in THE TOUGHEST CONFERENCE IN THE COUNTRY!

What a wanker....johnny come lately.

It will be good to see Ohio St get bet by another SEC school. Any question about the SEC being the best conference in the country.

I refuse to talk smack with regards to the game.  And I'm not gonna rip on the spelling error that I have highlighted above (it speaks for itself).  All I am going to say is that I feel that the best two teams have been chosen.  The coaches are both class acts and the programs are solid.  It should be a hell of a game.  Keep in mind that none of this would be possible without the current system in place.  As much as I disagree with the way the system works, the results have played in my favor this year.  This is going to go down as one of the most jacked up seasons in CFB history no matter what the outcome.  You gotta' love it!!!!

Unlawful use of the term "wanker" without the scotsman's permission could result in a fine of $100 and/or a loss of license to talk smack for the duration of the CFB season.

At least you used it in correct form, I can't hold that against you!

It will definitely be a good game.  Congrats to both teams, I just hope LSU's injured players can get recooperated during the wait time.

It's going to be a good game, but we need everyone back at full health, and I think our defense is going to have to be more aggressive.  It seems like they have been playing "soft" and giving up a lot of short yardage, which other teams just chip away at us with.  I think we need to get back into more blitz packages like Saban was so successful with.

I'm looking forward to it!  GEAUX TIGERS!

It will be a great game.  We'll see if the Tigers can crack a nut.   Good luck to all involved and may the best team win.  We'll still be either 1st or 2nd no matter what happens.

Imust say I do think the best two teams are there I just don't agree with the way the media have been wantind LSU in the title game for the last two years. Not taking anything away from them it's just that the media has been cryiny since katrina last year and now this year because it's in La.They were THE hand pick team to play the buckeyes this year .How does it figure the buckeyes don't play and move up two spots and Georgia doesn't play and drop spots even when two teams directly above them lose.Seam a double standard to me .And by the way I think the Buckeyes will be heading south with a big F'n chip on thier shoulder and lookin' to put on a clinic.

Well lets see, Georgia plays in a conference with a championship game that they didn't play in. They lost to the team LSU beat for the conference title. OSU doesn't have a title game and already won the Big Ten title.   And is it from now on out that anything good that happens to the state of Louisiana is a gift because of Katrina. You yourself said LSU deserved to be in the game then say they were hand picked, which one is it?????????????????  I feel good about our chances against OSU in the title game, especially with the extra month to get you guys healthy. It is gonna be a great one, but the one a few days before it (Georgia vs Hawaii) won't even be close. The bulldogs should come out pissed off and prove a point. (or not)

Best of luck to the Tiger fans on the board.  Truthfully......I'm just happy that Ohio State gets the shot to play for the title during a rebuilding year.  Really wasn't looking forward to the Rose Bowl against USC, mainly because we play them in September.  This is a matchup I can get excited about.

DUDE! Take a pill I said that they deserved to be there and with Georgia they were ahead of Lsu BEFORE the coference title game (when everyone knew they wouldn't be in it)And I said that the media wanted them there LAST year after Katrina(not that they wouldn't have deserved it but for the media "feel good story").And I do think Hawaii is overrated too.

You talk about UGA not playing in the title game, and OSU is Big Ten Champs. Lets take a look at that. OSU did not beat a team in the top 20 all year when the played. Bottom line is OSU would have a hard time beating most of the teams in the SEC. LSU was beat twice, and it took six overtimes to do that. Under this system you can't deny LSU. The only true way to see who is the best would be to take the top 8 or 10 teams, and play it off. I can understand UGA fan's trying to make the argument that since they were ranked above LSU they should have a shot. Bottom line is LSU won the SEC, and that should carry more weight.

As an SEC fan I'll be pulling for LSWho, but I would hate to be OSU.  Here they go again with 50+ days off between games.  In the long run I'm not sure if that helps or hurts their chances at winning.  Sure is a long time to have to focus.

I just hope it's a good game..................unlike last years.  If these are truly the two best teams in the country then it should make for a good one.

Dose anyone else remember this?????? I sure don't. And for the record LSU was playing the best ball at the end of the year last year, just like Georgia is. And also like Georgia, we were sitting at home the night Florida played Arkansas in the championship game. I think you are referring to the Saints. Now I whole heartily agree with that. The media wanted so much to have the Saints in the Super Bowl. From the media talk you would think the were 14-2 instead of 10-6. They almost made it but hit head long into the Bears D, and their power running game faltered. Same as this year, without Deuce adding the meat of the running game, Reggie's flair is not enough.  And I too agree that the best game would be Georgia and LSU in the championship game. I just glad we don't have to face them. And I mean that.
