Default My '08 SE Springer is leaking oil...

Right from the get go,the bottom of my motor has oil all over it.Seems to be coming from the left side primary gasket.Dripping off of each bolt. The ironic thing is after hearing Harley wise cracks about them leaking oil for the last 40 years, and how they don't do that any more, low and behold,my first Harley is leaking. What are the odds.

Don't get me wrong,I LOVE this bike far more than I thought I would.Oh well, that's what the warranty is for.Anyone else's motor leaking in this area?

That is also the area where the overflow pipe is....if you put too much oil in the motor, it will blow out the excessive oil.....check your oil level, and then get down there with a shop rag and clean it all up......proiblem solved. a little bit of brake cleaner on the rag afterwards will make it look new!

Merry Christmas!

My oil leak turned out to be a false alarm as far the dreaded head gasket leak goes.It was some kind of leak on a tranny bolt. They fixed it and so far so good.

My oil leaks are "fixed on my 110. Head gasket leaks on both cylinders and primary case leak as well. Started at 5000 miles. Rode to 9600 miles before repair.

My fingers are crossed for this year! Otherwise, I need to spend more money on an extended warranty!

I've had my bike in several times for the same oil leak. New gaskets twice, rear cylinder replaced once. Last week I had the new updated gaskets put on it, crossing fingers that it don't come back. FXSTSSE.

I spoke to a service writer today and his opinion was the 110 se is built out to the high side and with the higher compression comes things like the leak. Not a bright outlook and I just turned 1000 miles on mine
