Just had this emailed to me and with all the debate I saw on another thread I thought I'd post it here because it describes why I prefer Brett over all others. It's not just the numbers for me, it's the attitude and the style...no 3-piece suits during press conferences for this one (Brady and many others), no looking at your arm twice after a tackle to see if you have a raspberry (Brady again), no flashy jewelry or tattoos here. Nope, just a truck driving, bow hunting, beer drinking good ol' boy from Mississippi playing his guts out every freakin' game for 17+ years. > > Favre homage: on bended, creaky knee November 29, > 2007 Los Angeles Times > > > > NBC has "Bionic Woman". I love watching Brett play, he does it the way it should be done. He enjoys PLAYING A GAME and acts like a little kid, you would swear he is playing little league if you didn't see all of the huge players and the grey hair. He knows that he is getting a lot of money for doing what he does but it doesn't seem to faze him, he's just a hard nosed down to Earth normal guy. I wish more athletes acted like him, sports would be better if they did.

I'm still pissed off the Falcons traded him years ago(anyone remember Jeff George?). Of course, had favre stayed with Falcons, he would have been injured long ago due to porous offensive line and out of football by now.

Brett is the man............when he leaves GB he surely will be missed !! No one can ever walk in his shoes. My ownly regret is not actually meeting him; seen him around in public over the years , but thought it would be disrespectful to start hounding him.........WD
