OK, I've got the Mascot at Vandenberg AFB, CA. Let's keep this ball rolling.
I've got to go to TX from the 6th thru the 27th of Jan, so who can meet me before the 6th? I'm up for a ride over to Bakersfield, or up to Paso Robles...Hearst Castle maybe?

OK, I have to go to Bakersfield sometime between today (27 DEC) and the 31st. Is there any one out there who can meet me at the Bakersfield HD either Friday (tomorow, let me know ASAP) Saturday, Sunday, or Monday?!! I don't want the Mascot sitting around while I'm in TX all of January! Thanks, Dave

I will be out of pocket 'till the end of the month. I'll get the Mascot on the move when I get back from TX.
West coast riders, if no one can step up when I get back, the Mascot will head back east.

Sometimes I just don't understand.
Sean, HeatherC, Michelle and I (among others) got it from Indiana to Kansas in less than 2 days. CSI then handed it off for Colorado. It's my take that it hit California shortly thereafter. So now it's been there for over 4 months, and no one can get it out?! WTF???
I don't have any problem seeing it go north. In fact, it needs to go that way for those up there. Are there rules that say it has to be ridden? Why the hell can't it go by cage due to the weather?

Greg, I think the mascot flag has to travel by motorcycle (per Heather's post). No offense, but if you've been looking at the weather....rain, mudslides, blizzard conditions in CA, rain, 50+ mph winds whipping across OR into ID. Don't think it's reasonable for the flag to come north. We'd sure like it to come this way for the Baker City, OR (Hells Canyon Rally) in June, if possible.

Notify me if you get no riders and I'll take it north on Presidents day weekend (assuming 1/2 decent weather) I'm sure someone will meet me on the 101 form SF or the 5 from SF/SAC. I'll be out of town at the end of the month but will be back by the 4th. Might be able to do it sooner but would prefer the 3 day weekend.
I begged to get it out here and it stalled down south. I promised it would go north.... Unfortunately we are into the rainy season and it's hitting with a bang.  Hopefully we'll get a good weekend.

Originally the whole point of the mascot was to move it around on motorcycles, and I have always been opposed to it going by mail or car. If it can't move because of the weather then so be it, but it has been in California since the 2nd of September. I took it as far as Laughlin, Nv. myself.
Seems like it should have made it further than it has by now.

A move date has been offered. If not for the rain I could have taken it this weekend. I may be without a bike for a few weeks because of some mods, but if it turns out different I might be able to move it on the weekend of Jan 20th.
Some of the folks that offered earlier have not spoke up to move it north.
The mascot was moving until mid-november so has only stalled for about a month and a half, believe me there have been longer stalls. I agree we need to get it moving but lets not get all bent out of shape. The Holidays and the weather have made for some downtime hopefully the weather will clear and some moving can be done.

Once I get back from TX on 1 Feb, I will get the Mascot moving north.
Anyone interested in meeting up...let me know.
I also have Clutchglass, over at Nort Edwards, CA, if it needs to come inland instead of north.
I think the important thing is to keep it moving.

The biggest problem that we are going to have moving the mascot up into the PacNW isn't the rain as much as it is the snow in the passes. It has been snowing to beat all up in the mountains and there are record levels of snow and traction devices are being required. As much as I want to get the mascot up here we do need to keep safety in mind. We just had a little F1 or EF1 if you wish tornado here in my area yesterday. Hurricane force winds a month ago and it's rained so much that I think it would be a good idea to own a submarine!  So it would probably be a good idea to have it move around the south for a few weeks until things start to clear up around here. Just so long as it gets up here!

OK who can meet me where? Might be able to pick it up (as long as the weather holds) if I have a drop off point?
We can get it moving that a way...there are quite a few folks in No. Cal. And decent just chilly weather up there.
Going to be 50s an 60s (depending on the area). I'm willing to meet someone 1/2 way to San Fran on the 101 (Paso Robles maybe?)..or over off the 5 somewhere? (not much out there I know).

Bluerose, where in Cali are you? I'm in Tulare. Is that Fresno HD in the background? Has the mascot been moved from Vandenburg yet? I almost made it yesterday but didn't sync up with BlueRose in time. I'm checking my schedule for this weekend if it's available for retrieval.
It's about 300 miles each way, so I'd prefer to take it easy and do it in 2 days, but could do an all day thing if necessary.
A big storm is supposed to hit tonight with snow as low as 1500', so there is another issue.

dmrrallen, I PM'd you re; this also. I will be out and about all weekend in and around Paso. Wife and I will be ridin', she is newly licensed, so I'm takin' her out for her first (legal) rides in public. Give me a call at the number in the PM and we'll figure out what time/day works for you. After I get it, whodman6 and I will coordinate gettin' it to the Central Valley. I have some ideas about moving it around too, but need to post to see if my idea is acceptable.
