RE: Dual point VS single?
The dual point setup is a true single fire ignition which allows longer coil saturation thus producing a stronger spark ,firing once (720 degrees flywheel rotation) on the compression/power stroke, while single point fires the coil twice per 720 degrees(waste spark)
The Dual points also allow for moreaccurate timing of each cylinder independant of each other
