Default Snappy the Dyna Riding Philips goes home

Well,
It's only been a few weeks with Snappy around the house, but it seemed like a year.
Snappy left today, bound for the big city. He hounded me to take him with me to the UPS Store in Winchester (his mistake).
Okay, so I had some rear pegs to send out and the weather was kinda bad (snow),so I was going to leave Snappy at the house, nice and warm. Wa wa wa....... "I wanna come with you", he says..... "Okay, Okay you can come", I say. I stuffed him in my jacket pocket, grabbed all the other stuff, and out the door we go.
We get up the road a few miles where the weather had apparently turned real bad earlier in the morning....... At my place, we had a dusting of snow (maybe 1/2"). We just pasted the entrance to Montain Falls Park, there's suddenly about 4" of well packed snow on the ground and the road is this real pretty shiny white, oooooh. I am only doing about 30 mph and see a tractor-trailor about 1/4 mile ahead, apparently stopped, so I start to brake, and brake, and brake.... drop the auto tranny into D kill the O/D, then 2nd, then 1st.. brake, brake, brake. Finally get stopped about 100 feet behind the truck. Snappy and I get out and talk to the guy and realize we ain't going any further down the hill. I guess there were 3 or 4 ahead of us that skidded off the slicked up pavement into the road ditch (nobody hurt). Okay, turn around a spin (4X4) my way back up the slippery hill I just slid down........ Snappy b!tchin about being scared, etc. Go back out and around the other way(no problems, no real snow to talk about).
Okay, so the whole rest the way to Winchester Snappy is yacking about how I scared the crap out of him, etc. All the while Im thinking this is it you little prick of a tool, you're history. Anyway we get to Winchester, Snappy is now on the front seat beside me cause I couldn't take him screaming in my ear anymore, now he's cold (boo hoo, little SOB).
I start to go into the UPS Store and Snappy is crying about being left alone in an unlocked vehicle, and on and on. So, I stick him back in my jacket pocket. While the ladies are packing up my other shipment I have Snappy checking out the padded envolopes, shipping tubes and boxes with me, and he is having lots of fun (like trying on clothes). Well I find him a nice padded envelope. hand it and snappy to the nice lady and she ways them out, and tells me how much to send. Snappy thought he was just along for the ride, and the gal just liked him a lot. I asked Snappy boy what he thinks about the cost of shipping, he tells me not bad for an envelope that size and I set him down on the counter, scribble Skip's address on on the padded envelope, grab the orange-headed over pricedStanley of a tool, stuff in the opened shipper, and sealed it up. I heard a muffled scream as I handed it the lady behind the counter and made a beline to the door.
All he did was complain about the weather, my riding, and driving habits and how I spend too much time on the forum writing about a lonely little screwdriver. With Snappy gone, I should be able to find some time to work on the bike, and get it back in shape.

Really got tired of hearing, Skip this, Skip that and how great thos friggin Softtails were to screw around with. Hope he freezes his arse of going back home................. Good luck Trotter, I hope he didn't get too spoiled out here in the country.[sm=closed.gif][sm=laughingsmilie.gif]

Oh yeh, Snappy did enjoy replacing the headlight at the Autozone, but we got into a big arguement in the parkin lot, cause he wasn't paying attention and almost dropped the trim ring nut under the front tire. I think hewill be much happier sleeping in a toolbox.

Skip, maybe Auggie should come next time......... Snappy was a bit of a stiff, ya know.

Well Doug, ya probably ruined the little guy for life. Trotter will probably have to put him into some kind of therapy. But it sounds like you're better off without him, nobody likes a whiner. The little ingrate. What a TOOL....

I thought about sending him out to the west coast for a vacation, before he had to go back to slave labor at Skip's place, but he probably would have just complained about the trip out. I was also afraid he might beat up the mounts, he has a bad temper.
From what you said about your tools, he wouldn't have been any happier hangin around with you, then he was here.
My tools are in pretty good shape, it's just a lot of them are kinda mixed up (go figure).
How many screwdrivers do you know that have their own bed?

He wasn't perfect when he got here......... Bad temper, made a lot of pointed remarks, he shafted me, and he tried to screw everything in sight. He only helped me with one project and I never heard the end of it. He threw his name around a lot here, too.
He kept calling some of my Great Neck tools Red Necks, and called the Craftsman, CrapsMan. I shoulda turned on the microwave while he was in there screwin around. Little ingrate is right!!!
