Default Favorite style of revolver

I like most kinds of handguns, but I have a big soft spot for Colt SAA revolvers. I have one in 45 Colt that has a 4 5/8" barrel. I like the balance in my hand and I also like the fact that Colt has a long standing history behind it. I've also shot a 7" model and I enjoyed them both.

Do you have a soft spot for a specific revolver?

Any SA for hunting, DA for target shooting. Also have a soft spot for SAA-style single-actions, especially old models w/ the half-cock feature, but the Ruger New Vaquero is good too. Favorite revolver calibers are .41Mag, .44 Spl./Mag. in a DA & .45 Colt in an SA.

My reference in wheel guns would be double action S&W's. I have owned most of the models from .22/32 kit gun to Model 29 .44 Mag.

If I were to get a new revolver, I would seriously look into the S&W .44 Mag Mountain gun.

Any of the old "western style" SA revolvers. But especially the Colts!

I like the rugers,.....double action,....shrouded bbl....beefy frame,....for large caliber.

I like the ruger single actions in a .22,.......fun shooters.

I was once told that anything over 4" in a barrel was a waste. Added weight without much benefit. Not sure if it's true or not though,...I don't care for anything longer than a 4" bbl.,.....too bulky for me.
