Default 3rd Annual HDF Midwest Rally **Back From The Rally Update**

OK everyone.&nbsp\\; Its time to start planning the 3rd Annual HDF Midwest Rally. The first two were a blast and Im looking forward to seeing all of you again (plus a bunch of new members). Ill update this thread as things develop. Ive already got things set up with Legacy Harley Davidson so it's a go.&nbsp\\;

June 28th, 2008: Legacy Harley Davidson (Effingham,IL) is having its 3rd Anniversary party. There will be food and entertainment and if its anything like the last two parties, it will be a blast. We can all meet there, enjoy the festivities and then go for a ride or whatever else we want to do. Im friends with the owners and they wanted us back again this year.

A bunch of us usually meet at the hotel on Friday evening and go for a ride and get some food. We have our normal party around the pool but its much milder than the Saturday night party. Of course with the response we're getting so far, that could easily change this year.

Effingham is located where I-70 crosses I-57 in Central Illinois. Its about 1 hr from Terre Haute and less than 2 hrs from St. Louis. Probably around 3-3 1/2 hrs from Chicago.

Here is a Link to Legacy Harley Davidson which also has a map in the Dealer Info Area: CLICK HERE The Legacy page will be updated soon with a list of everything planned for the event. The Illinois State HOG Rally will be held at Legacy HD this year two weeks before our big party. Dont get that info mixed up when you are reading the Legacy Internet Site.

Entertainment Update: The Georgia Satelites will be performing in the early evening at Legacy Harley Davidson. You may remember them and their big hit "Keep Your Hands To Yourself." Country Rock at it's best.&nbsp\\; Here is a link to their site:&nbsp\\; http://www.thegeorgiasatellites.com/

Room Information:

Holiday Inn Express, Effingham, IL
217-540-1111 (If you have a problem ask for Sarah)(Make sure you get the right price)
We have 16 Double Rooms (Two Queen Beds) and Four Kings reserved for "The HDForums Group" (give them that name)
at a special price of $69.00 per night.

Remember, the motel has a pool and we will have a really nice little party Saturday night after the rally so we can all relax, swim a little and have a few brews (tequila optional).

Here is a link to last year's picture thread.&nbsp\\; https://www.hdforums.com/fb.asp?m=2784990

Friday Night Dinner
Our Dinner Ride will be to Codys Roadhouse in Mattoon IL. I have reservations for 7:30PM
for 30 people. They will adjust the total if necessary. If you are coming in South On I-57
and are running late you can meet us there. Take exit 190B (Mattoon exit) and then turn right
at the next light. Codys is down by Steak and Shake. Good Steaks,Ribs,BBQ and lots of
Beer.

We'll leave the Holiday Inn (back parking lot) around 6:30-6:45 PM to ride to Cody's. Cant
wait to see everyone.

Ill be at the Holiday Inn around 2:00 PM. Ask the dest what room Im in or Ill leave a message posted at the desk. If Im not out back Ill have cold beer in the room.

Terry

Did I mention the great pool party we've had the past two years. They close the pool at ten so we take over. No children. I think last year we had a record number of naked members in the pool. That Heather is just Clothing Challanged. The first year we stole a keg of beer from a wedding party at the Hilton next door. That was a great time. The funny thing is............the Holiday Inn wants us back. If you have any questions about how much fun this party is just ask Heather, Sean, JohnTN, 1SportyTrike, JB, Kruzin, Slash or Chappy. I've left a bunch of great people out but I'm tired and I'm sure they wile pipe in here soon. We haven't had one arrest in the first two years.

I'm tellin' ya, they've got a camera hidden in that pool area somewhere!!! I just know it!!!

Looking forward to it but, with a balmy high temp of -3* forcast for tommorow, I'm going to go stir crazy waiting for riding weather!
