Default Single shot rifles

I have a Sharps that I like to shoot and also a single shot 22-250. I have had a couple of Ruger no.1's in my hands but never bought one. I had a chance, several years ago. to buy a Browning hi-wall in 22-250but I couldn't afford it and I didn't have enough brains to put it on layaway until I could pay for it. It was an old style model that had a heavy barrel and topped off with a varmit quality scope.

Ruger No. 1 .25-06, Winchester Lo Wall .45-70 (Grandad installed the barrel in the 1930s & I had it chambered in 1975), Lo Wall Winder Musket .22 Short, Marlin Ballard in .38 (centerfire & rimfire - just disassemble the breech block & turn the firing pin over), Remington No. 6 Rollin Block .22 smoothbore, Stevens 1915 Favorite Takedown .32 Long RF, Stevens No. 44 .25-20 Single Shot, Stevens No. 44 .22LR.

I sorta like falling block actions. Grace, beauty, simplicity, strength. Kinda like an old stripped down Harley - only there what needs to be.

Browning 1885 45-70 It has taken 1 mulie, and 2 Barbery sheep, plus several coyotes in SW NM.
.62 caliber Flintlock custom made and finished by me
12 ga. smoothbore flintlock (Jim Chambers kit) assembled by me. The flintlocks haven't taken any game yet but they are fun to shoot.

I'm also a fan of the old style falling blocks. Sounds like you have a nice collection. I used to look at some of them when I wentto gun shows but never really found any good bargans, maybe some day.
