The one handgun I will never part with is my P-229 ( I have seven Sigs ).I have barrels in .40 & .357, I lke the .357 becauseI shoot to POA better than the .40.
The Sighas never failed, never malfunctioned in any way, always goes Bang when its needed.
Beretta makes a good gun I've owned about four of them, three 92 and one 96. Beretta or Sig both are great choices pick the one that fits your hand best and practice, shot placement is all important. http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/b...P/IMG_1025.jpg
Neither one. I prefer the Glock. I prefer the .40 cal, but I have won many police olympics with my 9mm during 11 years. I also have never had a single malfunction or misplaced round when I used quality ammo. Also, the tennifer finish of the Glock and lack of an external safety makes for a simple, and reliable weapon. However, what ever you choose, pratice, stay within the law, and always remember that you stand a better chance in court if there is only one side of the tale to tell.
I have a glock 23 its a good carry gun but for me its primary attribute is its reliability. now its time to get a ccw that shoots everytime, shoots well, and looks good too. Bass pro shops have the best pricesI could find on the sigs and Sportamans warehouse has the best for the berettas. they r local and I can go there and see for myself what I'm getting, cant do that online. If money was no object I'd go with the sig....if money was no object.
First off you need to do what has already been stated above and that is see which one fits your hand/grip the best. As for the two guns you have listed above I would say the Sig in .357 Sig everytime. Its just a hard gun to beat in all catagories. Are there better guns out there? I think so, but you asked about these two particular models. Im sure you have looked at many already, but if you have a chance take a look at the Smith & Wesson M&P model. I do not own one, but I have shot many of them and they are great all around....reliability, looks, concealability, price...ect. They also come with 3 different (interchangeable) palm sections that you can choose from to best fit your hand. One last thing.....once you decide on the gun you want take a minute to look that particular gun up on gunbroker.com......I bet you will be able to save yourself a fair amount of money there. I certainly have.
Here is a pic of my baby.....never leave home without her and dont think there is any better gun than her either.
Sig...SFPD changed from Beretta .40s to the Sig. I attended both the Sig and Beretta Armorers course and upon take down, the Sig has a lot less parts to worry about. I have owned both, but now primarily Sigs. But ditto the above posts, try them out first and whichever fits your hand comfortably...go for it! At least your buying one [sm=shootshoot.gif]
SIG or Beretta...I'd take the SIG, however also take a look at H&K I have a USP compact .40that shoots tight groups and has never had a failure to feed. That gun is rock solid and I carry it everywhere.
