what polish you guys reccomend for a new black bike? i've used pig snot on my other bikes but this is first black one. is it ok for black, and how long should i wait to wax it? thanks

RK48, I used Mequires stuff on my older 03 Black Ultra and it still looks very good to me after 90,000 plus miles. I just picked up a
black O8 Ultra on Saturday, so the process starts all over for me. But I'm no detailer so I can no way tell you which is a better polish, but do you plan on claying anytime soon? Good luck with your black bike, road kings are very cool.

Mcguires NXT, doesn't leave white residue, great on black paint.

I use "Nattys Blue" on my black Fatboy, Its from a company called Poor Boys. They say it is made for dark paint. It works real well and is easy to take off and put on.

Most polishes are good. Just be sure to use a good, non-abrasive cloth like microfiber or a baby's diaper.

I just got a black 08 Ultra about a month ago, have be using Meguires Glazeand Polish. Apply it using my hands and rub it in than a good buffing. Got this advice from a friend who does custom paint on cars and he swears buy it. SO far so good for me...the black is a lot harder to keep the fingerprints off of it that my old Black Cherry..
