These 2 are cool:

Maybe get a long sleeve in there with HARLEY DAVIDSON down the sleeve?

Put me down for a couple of these!

I love the WWII ideas, especially for a patch. Need to incorporate that letter opener from the tank badge into it, like a dagger. Maybe take "f" in fat from the tee above, stick thru a skull, on an Iron Cross, Harley logo, or somethin'...

So you wanna get this band of misfit, rat roddin',Bobber owners together, eh? 47 bikes & countin'?

Realize that we all own 105th first year bikes... I say we think about takin' her home in late August, boys!

Interesting point. I'd never thought about it that way.

Black Denim is losing by 2 percentage points to Vivid Black. I would have thought other way around, but I'm biased. Good to see so many of us, though.

Tartan, I'm going to have to copy your tank emblem mod.  I love the way that bar and shield looks by itself on a black background.  Your little customization tweaks really do compliment the bike!

Thanks Ammo

Count me in for t-shirts and long sleeves . How about a hooded fleece type with the same logo for us poor shmucks that have winters !!!

Seriously can anyone organise the merchandise ??  I'm definitely in .....

I thought the name "Fat Bob Squadron" was very fitting I think it would be a kick to get T-shirts with a small logo on the left chest with the name and maybe on the back a nose art pin up girl imposed over a Fat Bob and the name Fat Bob over and Squadron under would be cool.  Not sure how to go about getting something like that designed.  But I think it would be cool.

that's what I'm talking about

How's about something like this for a "squadron logo"? This time on a long sleeve shirt for comparison ...

About getting something actually printed ... I know a guy in Dallas who does great quality work, not the cheesy "iron-on-look", but i also know that his work isn't all that cheap ... should I get in touch with him to scope out what a run of shirts might cost? First, we'd have to settle on a motive, though ... that'll be deciding factor (aside from number & type of shirt) in terms of cost.

Oh, before I forget ... about that "harley-davidson" down the sleeve ... I'm no lawyer, but I'd almost bet my hindquarters that doing something like this would constitute some kind of copyright violation ... anyone have reliable info on this topic?

Brainfart for the back of the shirt ... let's say we get about 25 guys together to get shirts printed, how's about if we print the names (real first or forum name, doesn't matter but should be the identical for all) and the location where they're from on the back ... sort of like one of them tour shirts you buy at a concert? Theoretically, we could also add the date when each of the blokes bought his bike ... for myself that'd look like so ...

"2007/11/18 – krautrock – richmond, va / usa"

That times 25 would make kind of a cool list and add a nice personal note, dontcha think?

Maybe there should be another poll thread started.  I think a few designs could be voted on and the majority could win.  That would keep costs lower.  Maybe long and short sleeve versions in black and white to keep it simple.  Threre might be restrictions on the use of the name Fat Bob as well.

If another thread was started this one could get back to what it was intended for.

My vote is for this one. I have the Willie G Skull theme going on my bike. I'll take one in long sleeve and short sleeve please, and in black like the above image. I also like the names on the back with the date you bought it. Kind of like the original Fat Bob Crew.

Glad to see more Candy red owners as well.

Just ask the guy who you are going to get to try to make these about copyright/trademark infringement, I'm sure he'll tell you right away if there is a legal issue or not. My thought is you are OK as long as you aren't openly advertising them, like an actual display ad somewhere. I think a post telling other forum members "Hey, I got 'em, $15/ea!" would be fine, but a banner ad on the site would be a no-no, as well as a magazine ad, etc.

Gilly (expecting Dk Blue Pearl in April, bike is ordered, deposit made)

All mine now, but, the dealer still has the bike. Waiting for the new black V&H shorties and a few other goodies. I'll post pictures after I pick it up. Looking forward to it, but considering the time of year, if I have to wait this is a good time to do it. I was told the parts should be in by the end of Jan, so we should be getting close.

I'll take one of all 3 designs!

Anyone wanna kick in a patch design as well?

As far as the copyright stuff, yeah, we are infringin' but as long as we don't profit or advertise outside of this forum, should not be a a problem.

I'm up for a few long and short sleaves. If I had to choose, I'd be going with the long sleave as well. Keep us updated. Also, if you start a second thread about shirts, post it here and we'll follow the link over.
