Can you keep wind deflector on RKC with street slammers
I've thought of putting street slammer bars on my Road King Custom, but I don't want to take the chrome wind deflector off.
Is it possible?
Has anyone done this?
Did you drill holes, or is there a pre-fab tripple tree cap out here that will make it work?
RE: Can you keep wind deflector on RKC with street slammers
First, just about anything is possible... but, with the street slammer bars, it comes with a special cover, and you will loose the deflector... I suppose you could drill holes in the deflector, but at that point, it probally wouldn't look as good, so why bother... I personally like the street slammer bars, but I really like the looks of the deflector more...

I believe you can there are two holes that are covered by the chrome spike on the classic that would allow you to mount the deflector on a custom. That is if it mounts to the cover with two bolts at the bottom of the deflector. I have the classic so I have never had to deal with the deflector on the custom.
