Hi, All... Just got back into riding recently after a 30-plus year layoff and WOW! am I enjoying myself!! Bought an '07Sportster 1200 Custom in May just to get my bike legs back and frankly it got small real fast! (it's for sale, by the way) Now I'm the proud owner of an 07 Deuce(Jake and Elwood Blue) that I'm looking to make my own. Thinking about pipes, bars, chrome, etc. Look forward to checking in with all of you for feedback and suggestions.
A little about myself for those interested... I'm a 57 yr. old Virgo male, Vietnam vet, never married, homeowner(w/bikes,car and truck) born, raised, and currently living in Lancaster,Pa. I work for a major trucking company and am looking forward to a riding retirement in 7 more years.
That's the gist of it, folks. I'll post more specifics on what I'm looking for in the way of customizing, so keep an eye out. Peace and good weather.

Welcome hogryder!

How ironic I bought my 06 Springer Classic from Willow Street HD in Lancaster. I have a yearning for Deaner's resteraunt. I am down Rt 30 a bit in Fayetteville,Pa between Gettysburg and Chambersburg....be safe and watch out for the cagers.

Welcome from Jersey. Listen, check out the Deuce picture thread. You'll find lots of ideas and help finding what you like. There are many things you can do, starting with pipes and the rest of stage 1 (I like my Vance & Hines BSS, but if I had to do it again, would do Big Radius of Big Radius 2 into 1).

Damn - 57 never married and ride a Deuce - gotta give you an A+ for taste and planning!!

Welcome from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I know the Lancaster area since I was born and raised in Camden, NJ, just across the river from Philadelphia. We used to go up to "Amish Country" a lot. Still do when we go back up to visit family. Beautifulcountryside and I bet there is a lot great roads to ride up there!

Thanks everyone for the Howdys. Been to the Deuce pics thread previously and am going back again soon. Some fine lookin' rides there! About pipes...Considering the V&H BSS but am leaning a little more toward the Samson BG3 Boloneys. Like the look....wouldn't mind hearing them. Anyone know about them? Seems to be some confusion as to whether they will fit my '07. The O2 sensors I think. Also looking for a chrome rear wheel(without the raised ribs). Have a shop that will machine it for me, but need to find a good chrome shop. Any of you local PA folks know of one? Looking to have some other parts done too.
Thanks again for the welcome. Glad to be a part of the Deuce Brothers(and Sisters?)

Hi there. I was raised there in Lancaster County, and to be truthful, I could not get out of there fast enough. Have been in sunny San Diego- as far away from Lancaster as I could get and still be in the continental U.S. Here- you can ride all year long. I rode in snow back thereand oy vey, I wanted to chop my hands off when they started to thaw out they hurt so bad.
Cheers. And yes, you will be much happier on a BIG twin.
