Will Bugs that were not removed ( cleaned off ) prior to winter storage damage Paint and Chrome .. pit it so it will break the surface and corrode ?

I am looking at buying a bike from a guy that put it away last fall and did not bother to clean the bugs off from the last few rides.
I will have to drivea couple hundred milesto see the bike and if by being lazy and not cleaning the bugs off, is there potential for ruining the finish ??
If so, .. I'm gonna pass on that bike.

Or is this just a clean wax and go deal ?
I'm a clean freak with my toys, and yes I ride them but I do take very good care of them.
They cost lots of $$

I don't think the bugs are going to be a problem. I would be more concerned that if the guy doesn't care enough to clean up the bike before he stores it for the winter, what else is he neglectful of?
