Nice looking bike. And I know they don't give them away either.  I've spotted a couple year old ones for abut 25,000$ but they weren't as full looking as yours.

I don't run ithe hack with the windshield on it, don't like the buffeting from the wind.
The chrome snaps is for the cover I can put on in rainy weather.

Thumbnail Image

Notice the handicapped tag, they (a lazy, over-weight, public servant at the tag office) said a handicapped tag didn't exist for a bike.

Can ya'll find my two gremlin bells?
That's an AirHawk seat cushion you see atop the Mustang Solo with back rest.

If you look, you can see the steering dampener on the left side on the bike.
Another thing that sold me on this particular sidecar was it's "upside-down" wing shape.  At speed the hack, due to wind it is passing through, is forced downward onto the road.

I like the fact that my frame is inside the structure of the sidecar.  The hack is not sitting on an external box-like frame.  Makes it more aerodynamic.

Yep, you better hope I never die, cause then you'd be the ugliest rascal on a Harley.
As you can tell, I took this pic in the summer.  Probably not the best thing to do, but I sometimes where shorts.  You should see the looks I get when people realize I'm an amputee..

Nice looking rig.  I particularly like the shock and the extra headlite aiming forward.  You do use that as a headlite or a spotlight?  I think its odd that HD would only use the fender trim on the front of the sidecar wheel fender as the only front sidecar luminated indicator to the front.  At least on the back it has a mounted directional/running lite....of sorts.

What was the name of your sidecar?

Once, I took the shock off and realized what it was doing for me.  When I decelerated, I'd get "Front Wheel Shimmy".  When I put it back on, no shimmy.  I think it also aids in control at high speeds.  I can take my hands off the bars and ride for a ways, before I have to take it back over - but I don't make a practise of doing that - just wanted to see how it tracked.  I normally criuse at 60-65 mph, but don't hesitate to hit 80-85 to pass a slower vehicle, but I don't like going that fast for long.

I use the headlight on the side of the hack at night.  During the day I turn it off.  Its on/off switch is in the hack down low in front of the seat.  I think your matching hack fender light and bike front fender light is a nice touch.  All I did was order the hack fender to match the stock RK Classic fender - no lighting.

My hack is called "The Spyder" and is manufactured by a company in Shelby, Iowa, called Motorvation Engineering, Inc.  They have several models to pick from, but I just liked the looks of the Spyder.

btefft, I went to get an HP tag and they told me that since I had one of those tags for the rear veiw mirror I could not get one for my bike.

eglidetrike1, I think they shot you a line of poop.  I have 3 HP tags, one for my truck, one for my Honda CR/V and one for our Honda Accord.  I also have the mirror hanger for when I ride in car I don't own.  As you saw, I also have an motocycle HP tag.  I knew that bike HP tag existed because, I had looked it up on the Ga DOT web site.

When I went down to get the bike HP tag the woman behind the window said "We don't make HP tags for a motorcycle."  Get this, she said handicapped people can't ride bikes.  That's when I knew she was clueless.  I told her she was mal-informed and that I had, in fact, seen the motocycle HP tag the previous night on the DOT web site.  I think may have I made her mad, cause in a huff, she slide her big azz off her stool and said "Wait here" - like I was going anywhere.  I saw her talk to another person and that person reached into a cabinet and gave her a bike tag - a bike handicapped person tag (the very one in my pic).  She said she it didn't make sense to have a HP motocycle tag.  I explained the workings of a sidecar.  She just shrugged.

And think, if I hadn't done my homework, I'd have left thinking there was no such thing as a motorcycle HP tag.

eglidetrike1, if you have the Dr's form, I bet you could get your tag if you pushed the issue.

btefft,1sportytrike,silvergoldsmith,eglidetrike,

We each have nice looking but different and very interesting setups.  I think much information will be gleaned from this category for all present and future trike/sidecar drivers.  Already I am looking into some how getting a front headlight fro my sidecar much like bteffts and silvergoldsmith's.  It just makes sense for a night.

Drop your pic on somethng like MS Paint and resize it down.  Save it to your desktop.  Right click on it, click properties and if it under, say, 100 kb, it should go.  It may take a few attempts before the size is right.

eglidetrike1, How do you like your Championsidecar Trike?  I have been looking at the MotorTrike and Champion trike kits.  I am definitely looking at triking my 07 Heritage.  Did you look at other companies before chosing the Champion?  We are headed for Phoenix in a couple weeks and will be renting a Road Glide/MotorTrike for a few days of sunshine and warm weather (hopefully).  I am tired of winter and just looking at my motor.

I looked at everything but I think that Motor trike uses an electric motor for reverse and I did not want that and I didn't like the rear of motor trike. There where a few problems with my conversion but the manufacturer was more than willing to work with me. The only suggestion I can make is that which ever company you choose for the conversion if your not doing the conversion yourself check out the company doing the work and ask for a couple of references. The place that did my conversion where nice at first but after I picket the bike up I found a lot of stuff wrong with it.
