For what Pete Rose accomplished during his playing days it's unthinkable for him not to be in the hall of fame as a player. He is one of the greatest baseball players of all time. It's time he gets put in.

I have to agree. But its not going to happen, yet you watch. That pos Bonds will get in even though he was an overt cheater with an azzhole's personality. Its no wonder that the game is losing its popularity. quote:

ORIGINAL: DevilsReject +1 There are countless racists, bigots, drunks, and cheaters who managed to make it into the HOF.......so why cant Rose? Look, he admitted to gambling on games as a coach...but never as a player. His HOF credentials are based on his PLAYING days, not his COACHING days... I definitely say put the man in the HOF.....as his career is better then dozens of players in the HOF.... Hell, if you really want to be evil about, make sure to put an asterik in his Bio about him gambling on games... Agree 100%

HELL YES. With all of the over paid, whinny drug addicts and bigots that professional baseball has within its present ranks right now, you would think that they would clean up their present reputation that is rapidly going down the shitter at this time.Professional baseball has more important problems to worry about than Pete Rose. Pete Rose deserves to be in the Hall of Fame while he is still alive so that todays young players can see what hustle and determination is all about.

Well, I am not one to get too worked up about opinions... But can't let this one slide. First of all, Pete Rose IS a hall of famer. If the powers that be do not nominate him for induction, that can not take away what Pete accomplished. If they choose not to include him with the rest, that only deprives those going to the hall expecting to see all the greats, does not impact the hit kings credentials. As far as comparing him to the real cheaters, Bonds and the like, get a clue. Doing drugs to gain a competivie advantage and betting on the game do not compare. What does it matter, the game is in the toilet, Selig allowed the drug thing to go on way too long... Hell, he still isn't doing anything about it! Pete Rose #14 All Time Great

Yes, I think he should be in. It's about what they did on the field.
