Visted the CC shop on Friday, ordered a new spot tourer, leather with grey (silver) thread on the fancy stitching part of the seat. Looking forward to recievig it sometime next week. While I was there I spoke with Chuck obout utilizing RJ's heat shields with the seat. Because the seat is for an 08 Ultra it appeared the the corners may be a little close to the frame to allow the heat shields to go on. Will find out next week, of course Chuck said it should work but if it does not, he'll have it fixed. So that made me feel good about that concern.
On the way home I had another concern, on my 03 Ultra I ran with a Corbin, very good seat no problems what so ever. But I wanted something a little more contempory and less dated than the Corbin seats have become. The CC sport tourer is a very nice looking seat and the short drive I took on it, I am convinced it will do me well. Back to my concern, I am a big guy and the CC is a little less bulk than the Corbin is, I hope my big frame does not become do much of a strain for the CC bucket. Only time will tell.
But I am looking forward to placing the sport tourer on my bike and riding with that bad boy. It really is a good looking seat and felt comfortable and pushed me away from the tank by a 1.5 inches or maybe 2 (which I was looking for). I will see what the open road feels like to me with this seat on. Looking forward to it and I will report back when I have ridden with it a while. BRO
