I'm hopin' to get my wife into one this spring. She's currently got a 750 (cough!) Honda. I keep trying to tell her, our Ultra is easier to ride than her cruiser. She's a little intimidated by cross winds on the smaller bike, doesn't acceperate like the Bagger, etc., etc. She's goin' to learn to ride mine this spring. She'll be hooked then. I'm gettin' tired of carryin' all the clothes!

I ride with a (female) State Trooper that has a FLTRI for fun, and a FLHTPI for work. I sold a 05 FLHTC to a girl in December, so there are 2 that I know of.

We have several women in my HOG Chapter that ride baggers. The Streetglide seems real popular with women too with the lower center of gravity and less weight than a regular bagger.

Hey...how about ya'll putting some pictures big enough for a 50-something year old guy to be able to focus on a little better...damn, these little ass pics of your fine rides don't do the bikes any justice at all. Try just attaching your pics with something at least 800 by 600 but a hell of a lot better at 1074 by 768 or larger. If you want to see the perfect size of a pic of one of the most beautiful bikes on this forum, look at Primo's black beauty Street Glide at 1280 by 960...now that's what I'm talkin' about!

I don't know BaggerDave if that's the case, unless pics like Primo's SG were put up before some new rule was put in place...but, taking his pic as an example, you can have a small thumb-nail or smaller pictures within a post but attach to it a large picture, and this is what the dude Primo did with his ride. I don't know for sure on the rules, but I do know I've downloaded a number of 1074 by 768 or larger pics from this site from opening up their attachments and saving them to file. The size of your bike's pic isn't bad as it's big enough to show off all the detail of that black beauty, but a 1074 by 768 would really do it justice IMO. Perhaps the Admin or a moderator could shed some light on this, but desktop sized pics do exist on the site here and there among all the little ones that you need a put under a microscope to see.

I think you're right Axe! If its an attachment it can be any size. But embedded (like my previous post) in the post their is a limit I think.

The last pic is a tribute to my best friend and brother firefighter. Him and I were on the same truck togeather for almost 7 years.
This was his bike but died from cancer before he could ride it.
I bought it from his wife with only 9 miles on it.

Nice^^I sent the mural to my brother in law,he's a fire captain.It's a very fitting tribute.

rhinoevans It slides down between the dash and the windshield, it a bit thick and leaves a gap in the sides, so I cut it back on each side. It's been on for about 700 miles and only had one loose bolt.

I just bought an '06 Electra Glide Standard, but I won't be taking delivery until I've completed the MSF course and gotten my motorcycle endorsement. Unfortunately, I rode for years without either, but fortunately, I'm still here!

What are the Slip ons on your old bike I have the same ones on my classic (backlash) and do not know what they are the bike was purchased that way I think they are Screaming Eagle but not sure.

Nice ride Baldman. Are those smoked turn signal lenses and taillight? I just smoked out every lens on mine, including the tour pak lenses. I really like the look of smoked.

dawg, you are right, they are all smoked. Never thought about the tour pac lenses...hmmmmm.

I got my lenses from waltersworkshop.com in case you are interested in the tourpak lens kit. They have good prices on the lenses and they do have the ultra kit which includes the side lights as well as the brake lights for the pak. I just removed my front bumper today in an effort to give it a cleaner look and get rid of those awful amber reflectors. Next comes the saddle bag reflective latch inserts that have to go!

When I bought this bike (used with 3,400 miles) the previous owner had it all stripped down. He was trying to make a Screaming Eagle out of it. Everything is detachable, saddlebag guards were off and the front and rear bumpers. He even had the SE wheels put on, 95" stage II. He then traded it in on a real SE-Yellow one.

As you can tell, I threw everything back on and then some. Will check out that site and will get more pics soon.

Dang, My 07 Ultra with 2000 miles on it, blew a starter Dealer said it had broken teeth and busted pinion gear. I Hope this isnt a hint of the future...this is my first HD. I am used to rice burner reliability. Any other issues with 07's anybody?

Just got er back from the 1k service. Has been running like a dream. Things I notice that are different than my 01 Road King Classic.
1. Starter Kickback. (have to hold the starter a bit longer)
2. 5th gear is a little louder. (nothing Im concerned about)
3. Extreme engine heat. (Additions of pipes air cleaner and SERT took care of that)
Im loving the bike. My RKC is getting jealous.

My '07 P.O.S.E. now has 1500 miles on it since I picked it up last Sat. No weird noises in tranny (although there was a bit of a whine in 5th for the first 2-300 miles). The seat is too soft and bottoms out quickly. I have a ride-in appointment next Fri. at Corbin to have that situation corrected. No issues with valve train noise or problems with the sound system. Average mileage is 42 MPG and the heat seems to be a bit more than with my 2001 EG Classic (could just be the fairing lowers).

I get alot of complements from folks on the color.
When I decided to color match my innerfaring, I ended up calling the York paint shop to findout how to duplicate the color.
Black base(vivid or jet),clear, yellow pearl, clear, clear, clear.(Not a lick of green paint on the bike)
Kinda nice to know it looks Green, but doesn't have any green paint in it.
That way the old "green is unlucky" bike myth gets bypassed for us.

I wonder if your bike color is the same as mine. I bought this paint set thinking it was black with green accents but it's not black. It changes color depending on how the sun hits it. The base color can look black, blue, green or even a dark purple. My friends have named it the "mood ring color" bike like the mood rings that were popular way back when.

I don't think it is. The color I have is called Dragonfly Green Pearl and was a custom color for the second quarter. You do have a nice color however...

My new 2006 EG Standard. Man what a ride!!:D I traded the fatboy today for this new 06 and I cannot believe the ride. The wife will definitly like this ride, she didn't feel comfortable on the FB so why keep it. The softails are great bikes, just not what we were looking for.
