Here is a picture of my new Road King 2006 "left over" which has now 160 miles on it. I'm still trying to break it in between the cool weather and rain were having over here in Connecticut lately.

I'm trying this picture thing one more time.  This is my new 08 RKC.  Got ABS and a bunch of chrome.  The chubby 518 bar and ss cable is being put on now.  The picture has the sundowner seat.  Can't decide whether to ride with the stock or sundowner.  I'll wait for the new bars to decide since the bars make more of a difference to me than the seat.  I'll see which works the best with the new handlebars.  Whichever seat I go with, I might send to mean city for mods.  Only been riding since last summer but I absolutely love it.  Wanted to do it my whole life. Took the Riders Edge course last July and started with the Sportster 1200.  Got it on ebay with only 35 miles on it.  Sold it to a friend for the price I paid for it one month later.  After a brief stop with a Dyna, I figured since I'm 53 years old I might as well move along to the bike I really want.  And here it is.

Good for you. Life is to short to settle, and to not do all you can to be happy. Enjoy the heck out of that bike... you deserve it. Be careful, and welcome to the Road King family. I have rented and own several bikes in my short life (35), and I can honestly say that my RK Custom is the best riding bike I have ever been on. Now, get ready to start spending money to make the bike your own. As you have already discovered, there is a ton of upgrades/accessories that you can make... it will never end... but heck, riding and making the bike, YOUR bike, is what it is all about.

Washed the bike up yesterday.  Hopefully have some new paint in a month.  So here's one to remember how it looked in green ...

Where did you get that cover for the lower half of the engine guard? It looks very cool. Never seen one like it.

Please note I got the Black roadking studded version to match My black road king studded seat, you can get it in either plain or chrome studded, they have tons of leather accessories and covers it will take them about a week to get delivery , but for the most part they are very curteous.

A few pics of my bike still looking at doing more but as you all know money doesn't grow on trees. I do have the touring pak windshield and highway pegs. I use the windshield for not so clear days and cooler days going to work. highway pegs I have just been to lazy to put them on.

My golf game has taken a decided downturn since I threw a leg over a road king. Anybody else with a similar experience?

Once I "threw a leg over a road king" nothing else seems to be quite as important as going on a nice long ride, even my business takes a back seat (no pun intended)
