Not sure what type of instrument panel they called it but it has the two idiot light set up, one for generator and one for oil. The gen/oil light indicator is red and is made of glass. Aftermarket stuff is plastic. The one you are describing (#71270-39 aka cats eye dash) was used on all models from 39-46.
