Whats up,

My wife rides an '06 nightrod.  During a trip to the stealership they were installing some TAB slip ons on a '08 NRS.  She liked the looks and sound of these pipes.  I know that a fuel management system of some kind has to be installed.

My questions are:

1. Has anyone out there installed these on their bike and what do you think of the performance?  2. Has anyone experienced any discoloration, even with proper fuel system management?
3. Do you have to purchase the baffles separately or are they included with the pipes?
4. Is the TAB fuel manager on the site worth the money?
5. Would this Tab fuel manager increase or decrease her gas mileage?

Any and all comments are welcome, thank you in advance.

Later,

JB

I dont have tabs but I do have some like them. You will lose a little  horsepower because they decrease backpressure on the engine, but I really cant tell any difference on the street. You can order the tabs with or without the baffels.I dont know about the tab fueler but have heard negative comments on other sites. I have a power commander myself but have heard that a sert is better (it really depends on any other mods you might want to do later what you can go with) My pipes have never discolored, fuel mileage all depends on getting it tuned right after the mods.

Tabs, Force, or just some exhaust tips are all about the same (without baffles) and I've got both inner and outer baffles taken out of the stock exhaust which makes it pretty much like the tabs. with the right map you'll be gaining hp, at least I did. This is a little out dated but look down on the bottom and the force exhaust says +6-8 hp over stock... http://www.vrodracing.com/Information/RaceProduct/Exhaust/ExhaustReview.htm

Here is my bike with no baffles at all in the stock exhaust and I use a PCIII with a map for the force pipes (which would also work for tabs) and at the Vrod rally in KC last year I had the second highest hp on the dyno (not counting the BB, Turbo, Nitrous guys)

I have Tabs on mine with the baffles. Lost about 5 or 6 hp on the dyno from stock but I was putting nitrous on it to race so I didn't mind. They sound good and even though I lost power I also lost about 15lbs of muffler weight.
As far as the fueler goes, I'm running a power commander.

No one seems to like the tab fueler. Most go with the PC III.

Go with the PCIII. If you purchase it from Fuelmoto they will provide you with the maps to tune your fuel system. I have one and it works great.
