Default GOT MY FXSTSSE2 2008 and first blow on the face

I'm working so I can't pick-up my bike till saturday, but my dealer sent me a few pics for me to see. Bike is fine, but the fact that it is a European model it really messes up things. For a start the big suction filter is not there, just the typical football shaped housing. What is more, the pipes are the old tipe tapered style, same as the Dyna factory style, not the slash down cut style mufflers. It also has the limiting butterfly valve on the rear exhaust and a small silly flap on the inlet by the filter.

My question is simple, did you get the big filter on the bike, and if so, I guess you also got the slash down muffles with rather bigger outlets and of course a different map to us mongrels here in Europe. I want to free my engine by installing a bigger suction and more open exhausts, but I'm a bit in doubt on where to start. Any help will be thanked, since I'm a bit at a loss here.

I want louder pipes but not as loud as the Big radius Vance and Hines. Mapping will be taken care by a Thundermax with Autotune.

HHEEEELLLLPPPP!!!!

congrats on the new bike!
IT'S BEAUTIFUL!

you can buy the US spec air cleaner from the HD parts catalog, and a set of rush slip-ons will solve your exhaust problem.[8D]

I have the 2.25" baffles in my rush slip-ons, it's as loud as my buddies '06 dyna with V&H big shot staggard pipes on it, so you might want to get a smaller baffle like the 1.75" or 2.00" baffles.
the thundermax will make the motor very happy and run cooler, I installed my thundermax the day I brought my '07 FXSTSSE home and it's been great.

good luck with the new bike and keep us posted with more pics!

I was concerned with the sound of the Big Radius being too loud as well. That lasted about 5 min.

BTW,curious about your serial # plate on the oil tank and the fact it is a export bike. What number did you get?
