ok got new hand controls jaybrake have front claiber stainless line just cant get it to bleed. put stock hand control on and it worked sent the hand control back got a new one and still nothing

Try gently tapping the brake line with handle of screwdriver to work the air bubbles up into the brake cylinder. Put one end of a clear rubber hose over bleed valve and other end submerged in jar with brake fluid in it. When bleeding, open bleed valve, slowly squeeze brake lever, close bleed valve, slowly release brake lever. Repeat this sequence until no more air bubbles come out bleed valve.

I wish it was as simple as you say... I have gone back from one side to the other 6 or 7 times and still a soft front brake lever. It will pump up if you squeze it a few times, but let it go 5 seconds or so and it back to the grip again. I have tried both with and without the top on the reservoir.

Did you ever figure out what was causing your front brake issue? I am having the same problem.

I just installed aHawg Halter front caliper and the only thing that worked for me was to leave the cover off the master cylinder resevoir for about 4 hours so all the air could slowly work it's way up the line. The resevoir was full of DOT5 fluid. When I came back I had a pretty firm lever but it still needed to be pumped a few more times to get the rest of the air out.
I don't know why this worked when I couldn't get the air out with the cover on, but a friend suggested that I try it and it worked for me.
If it hadn't worked, the next step was going to be forcing clean fluid into the caliper bleed screw with a big syringe and a clear tube in hopes of driving the air up and out throught the master cyl.

I had the same problem after replacing my pads, turns out it was the caliber piston not being pushed out. Took off the caliber and squeezed the grip a few times and it worked.

When I have that happen I leave it overnight with the handlebars turned to the left (elevate the master cylinder). The system usually bleeds itself that way.
If you run jaybrake calipers, call jaybrake and they will tell you how to use a syringe to force fluid through the little holes in the master cylinder.

Try this, it worked great for me. Had lots of very tiny air bubbles. Now I have firm brakes. I have bled literally thousand of brake systems, and this was the trickiest ever.

I use a fluid extractor to bleed everything...the trick is getting one with a pressure guage (like a motive brand) and only pumping it to -5.(so you don't draw air past the piston seals)The very slowly vacuum bleed the caliper. Just make sure the caliper is positioned so the bleeder is at the highest point. On some calipers you have to remove one bolt and slide the caliper around to orient it so the bleeder is at the highest point. The extractor will siphon all the air out of the system.

If your still having this problem, try this, it's fool proof and always works... Take almost all the fluid out of the res. Turn the bars to the left with the cap off. Crack the bleeder, and reverse bleed the brakes from the caliper to the master. pump fluid fluid (DOT 5) into the bleeder. when the resfillp up, there is no more air in the line or caliper, takes about 5 minutes, not overnight waiting on gravity. when you tighten the bleeder, topof the res, put the cap back on, andyou'll have pressure in the lever. and no mess, one man job..
