1st bike! More mods to come.....

Glad you posted your pics, DE.  I am considering the black and sun glo red Nightster and would put a set of black pipes on it if I get it.  However I still don't know what type of pipes would look the best on this color combo, if at all.  Your pics have been a great help, I am assuming they are V&H, Short Shots, maybe?  Are they legal where you are?  This may be a stupid question but do you pipes actually have the mufflers as well?  Sorry, I'm a bit of a noob.  Anybody care to help answer my sill questions, go right ahead, thanks.

The N is vivid black/mirage orange pearl.   (GREAT looker in person)

He is running V&H short shots and they do have a removable baffle.  With that said, the pipes are loud by any/all definitions.  Take the baffles out and its menacing.  If I get pulled over this summer at the beach I wont be surprised....they are loud even with the baffles in.  Not legal, but police *usually* let you slide if you are wearing a lid and riding like a normal human.  In NJ, the beach cops are hard on loud bike later at night...

Thanks guys. I never thought I would own an "orange" bike, but after I saw it in person I didn't want anything else.

Malloy is correct. The V&H Short Shots are not quiet! I just make sure that I roll off the throttle when passing any cops. I haven't been pulled over yet.....great, now I just jinxed myself

Looking good man.

Can you tell me which slip ons you are running? I really like how the diameter is close to the header/heat shields.

Thanks

I'm running D&D slip-ons. They've got a really great sound. Loud enough to make car alarms chirp as you pass but not so loud that the neighbors glare at you.

Hi all.  I have a 2007 1200N.  I notice on some rear fenders there is a reflector.  Is that just a reflector or a light?  Mine doesn't even have that part.  Was it new on the 2008?  Thanks.

Spider, It's just a reflector. Did you buy the bike used? Because alot of people take them off, looks better if you ask me.

Just picked up this 07 with 270 miles a few days ago. If I had to sum up the bike in one word...RAW.

This is the only pic I have right now.

bone stock. unlikely to change any time soon. i wouldn't mind wider bars, a crash bar, and a few other nostalgic tidbits, but i'm too cheap to invest.

Tweakin, that is a sick looking scoot.  Where did you get that headlight (in your sig) and could you post some more pics of the front and mounting of that headlight?  Thanks
