I've noticed that most trike manufacturers don't seem to care about offering matching front and rear wheels on their trikes. Most of their publicity pictures will show an Ultra with a laced front wheel and 5-spoke wheels on the trike. I'm having a DFT conversion done on my FLHX, and I'd prefer matching wheels. Like many of the kits on the market, the DFT kit uses automotive wheels on the back. Can anyone suggest a possible source for matched wheels (outside of having an expensiveset of custom wheels built)?

2007 FLHX DFT Trike

I used a "Salt Flat Special" from American Racing. I think it matches the RKC wheel pretty good. Somthing with a black painted innerand 5 outer slots would match the SG wheel.

Thanks. Nice Trike! I should have elaborated a bit -- I have the laced wheels on my SG, and I'd rather move to something else in a 5, 6 or multi spoke wheel. (Laced wheels are just too hard to keep clean.)

You do the best you can in matching up wheels, the only real choice is custom wheels. I did a lot of research with all the trike manufacturers and nobody offers matched wheels. Other than spoked wheels.

Check Mystery Design for wheels. I think they have a package with 3 matching wheels. Onlya couple of wheeldesigns if I remember. Rear is a Chevy bolt pattern and a 300 tire.
