I have been very fortunate to be a doctor with both the WWE and TNA wrestling organizations. I was also a doc for WCW when they were around.

I realize all the comments about pro wrestling, but believe me, it is one of the most grueling, bone jarring "sports" on the planet. The injuries are very real.

Anyway, TNA is having shows in Springfield, MO. on March 19th, and St. Louis on the 21st that I am working. If anyone is planning on going, post it, and maybe I can hook up and meet you before or after the shows.

Anyone who don't think it's real oughta climb into the ring. Remember when Dr D. David Schultz slapped the shit our of John Stossel on 20/20? Stossel had the stupidity to aks Dr. D if wrestling is fake. Dr D. bitch slapped him and said "thats an open hand slap, think thats fake"

I've had the "pleasure" to step in the ring to workout and have fun with guys like Triple H, The Undertaker, and Kevin Nash. These guys are so good, they can make a hack like me who has no pro. wrestling background look like the world champion. On the other hand, even though I'm 6' 4" and 275, all three of these brutes can bounce me around like a rubber ball. I'm very fortunate that I can call them all friend.

My Dad is an avid fan of the Pro Wrestling shows. I have watched it with him a few times cause I get such a kick out watching him watch the show.

Often wondered though...With regards to the 'lady' wrastlers....Aren't they afraid of those silicone bags busting, then slipping and breaking a nail?

2 blackbelts - I used to be good friends with the Iron Shiek back in the 80's. Whenever the wwf came to Pittsburgh (back then it was once a month) we'd get together with all the other wrastlers and party the night away. I'm sure you could tell a lot of hilarious stories to!

"Fixed" would be a better word than "fake."

I see it for what it it, entertainment. Those guys take some awesome bumps. My all time favorite is Stone Cold Steve Austin, but Ya have to admire the giants like Kane and Taker, that's a lot of weight hitting the mat, it has to hurt.

October 15,1990: On my honeymoon flying from SF to Portland, OR. Shared the flight with 20 or so behemoths who had just the night before been pounding on each other at the Cow Palace and here they are the next morning on a flight playing cards and old skool gameboy-type handheld games with each other.

Funny watching one giant "Steamboat" I think was his moniker, chasing batteries that had fallen out of the back of his handheld game down the aisle and under some seats.

Nicest guys though. Very polite to other passengers and the flight attendants.

They all flew coach with the exception of McMahon, Hogan and Ted Dibiasi aka The Million Dollar Man. (Have to be a certain age to remember that one).

Same SF airport different day ran into Randy "Macho Man" Savage. Totally amped out but he was helping all the old ladies, taking their bags off the carousel for them.

Greatest stunt show on earth and yes you have to be in fantastic shape and have great physical prowess to make it in pro wrestling.

Don't really watch it anymore but no problem with those that do.

A good friend of mine is currently a pro wrestler in what is considered to be a minor league to the WWE. He was the tv champ for a long time. The injuries are real. It's a very grueling job. He is a bad guy in the ring but one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet outside the ring.

I was working out one Saturday morning at the downtown Milwaukee YMCA when in walks Superstar Billy Graham. This was way back in the late 70's so many of you guys may not remember him, but he was one of the best showman ever and had some major guns. Well anyway, he had stopped in for a light workout before his evening match at the Auditorium. He was set to wrestle that huge, fat ex-olympic wrestler from the USA who's name escapes me. Superstar was the nicest guy and my lifting buddies and I had a great time working out with him that day. I still remember to this day what he was lifting - he was doing multiple sets of 20 with 275# on the bench press..., and they were easy. Most of those guys are unbelievable athletes.
